"I just don't understand why you hate me so much."

The wind melted into the summer heat, making the weather seem as if Denver were a desert state. Finn sat himself in a swing, feet skimming the grass beneath his shoes as he turned to his boyfriend with a scowl. Robin laughed at the boy's expression and cleared his throat through the remainder of his fit of giggles.

"God Finn, it's one scary movie. Get over it." Finn scoffed and stood up, pointedly turning his back on the other as he attempted to walk off. "Do you even know where you're going?" Robin's voice was a whisper to the summer air as Finn shrugged in response.

"Stupid scary movie." Finn mumbled to himself, tongue dry as sandpaper as his head burned under the sun's radiation. His face was red, he knew it had to be. He burned too easily, as if he were some bonfire and the sun was an always filled gas canister.

His legs felt heavy and though he hadn't been walking long, he felt as if he had been. With squinted eyes, Finn could just barely make out the grab n' go sign.

And what was he if not a sunburned boy looking for an adventure?

The entrance bell chimed, swinging back and forth with a loud ring as Finn entered beneath it. He sighed as his arms quickly covered in goosebumps, the chilled air from the convenience store wrapping around him in a gust of makeshift wind.

Finn's feet thudded against the tiled floor softly as he made his way to the snack isle, eyes on a hunt for his, and Robin's, favorite candies.

"Hey Blake. You look like you just got spray-painted." Vance's tone wasn't far from a withheld laugh and, truthfully, neither was he. Finn turned to him and offered a tight-lipped smile.

"Yeah well, you look like shit. Not that much of a difference from every other time I see you though." Finn turned back towards the variety of candies in front of him, ignoring the boy beside him who's knuckles cracked loudly in the almost silent store.

"You know, if you weren't my friend I'd pummel you into the floor." Finn smiled as he reached out and grabbed what he was looking for, two family size bags of Mike & Ike's and Red Hots. "Whatever you say Hopper. Oh, Robin and I are having a movie night. Bring your boyfriend if you want."

The bags of candy crinkled as Finn moved past Vance, pointedly ignoring the boy's glare towards him.

"He's not my boyfriend!"
"It's not the 80's anymore Vance!"

"Well, look who showed up." Robin's bandanna, blue this time because it was 'too hot for any other color', was lopsided on his head as he smiled at Finn. His smile was wiped off rather quickly when Finn yanked the item from his head and took off to the boy's room, laughing loudly at the round of shouts chasing after him.

"Finn! ¡Devuélvemelo, estúpido hijo de puta!" Robin's voice traveled through the hallways of his home, bouncing off the orange-colored walls as his feet padded against the wooden floor.

"Those aren't nice words." Finn stretched himself out, limbs angled into a figure of a starfish as he laid on top of Robin's bed. The bandanna, stolen by the sunburnt boy, was laid against Finn's chest.

"I don't know why I put up with you. Really." Robin had a hand to his own chest, breaths coming out in large heaves as he leant against his bedroom's doorway. Finn picked his head up and smiled, a mischievous one and nothing less.

"I invited Vance and Bruce."
"When I say date night, I mean just us."
"A date night is not supposed to leave you traumatized!"
"It's one scary movie!"

Robin tightened his bandanna against his head, tossing Finn a half-annoyed glare as the boy walked towards him. "I'm sorry for stealing your bandanna. And for inviting our friends to date night." Finn's face wasn't as red as earlier, though there was now an embarrassed blush lightly tinting his cheeks.

"It's fine estúpido." Robin lightly flicked Finn's head, delivering a kiss to it as well when the boy frowned at the action. "Is everything set up?" Finn was now smiling, eyes aglow as the sun poured over him through the small cracks in the window blinds. Robin nodded, mouth agape with the attempt of speaking before a knock at his front door made him silence himself.

"I'll get it."

"You eat like a fucking wolverine."

Vance, quite literally, was all but inhaling the bowl of popcorn he had situated in his lap. Bruce had decided to share with Finn, seeing as Robin hadn't wanted any.

"Shut it Blake. I won't hesitate in kicking your ass."
"Like hell you won't."

"Scream" was playing on the television, the colors of the current scene making the walls turn different colors as things moved around. Finn ignored the bickering beside him and settled against Bruce's side, smiling at him when the boy turned towards him.

"This movie isn't so bad."
"The originals are always the best."

"Did you just bite me?" Vance's voice was basically a whisper, a question into the thick air as Robin remained silent. "Maybe."

The movie continued on, despite the two boys who were now rolling in front of it as they wrestled each other.

"Mind the fucking popcorn!"
"Shut the fuck up Blake!"

Vance yelped as Robin kicked him.. somewhere. Bruce elbowed Finn in his side, grinning when the boy turned towards him.

"Thanks for inviting us."
"Yeah, you're welcome."
