"Every time I look into your eyes I see it
You're all I need"

Robin sat his head back against his headboard, fingers lightly strumming the strings of his wooden guitar. He hummed a tune softly, taking a minute to write something down in the notebook next to him. He was writing a song for his friend, Finney Blake. It was almost finished, just needing the last bit and some lyrics.

A soft knock made Robin's head snap towards his door, shoulders slumping with relief when he saw his mother. The small woman smiled at her son, cracking his door open so she could enter. "Que cancion estas tocando?" She spoke softly, now standing in front of her son. Robin smiled at her, eyes trailing down to the guitar in his hands. "I'm writing something special for Finn. It's how I'm going to tell him that I like him." Robin's mother put a caring hand on her son's shoulder, offering him a warm smile. "Suena bien. Déjame saber como va." With that, the small woman stood up and walked back to the door, nodding her head at her son and closing it back behind her.

Robin had been working on the song for the remainder of the weekend, perfecting the last missing pieces of it. He planned to confess to Finn on Wednesday, the day he'd regularly come over to tutor him.

Humming the tune of the song he's been working on, Robin made his way to school. The sun shone down on him, making his tan skin glow softly. Robin's thumbs looped through the straps of his blue backpack, pulling it closer to his body. He smiled when two familiar brunettes stepped out of a small brown home, talking quietly with smiles.

"Finn! Gwenny!" Robin yelled loudly, causing the siblings to turn around quickly in fright. Finn smiled when he saw Robin, Gwen scowled at first before mimicking her brother. "Hey Robin. You scared me." Finn had just walked up to the boy, slinging an arm around his shoulder and pulling him close. Robin's face flushed bright pink, causing Gwen to nudge him softly and smirk knowingly. Robin nudged her back, softly shaking his head. "Sorry Finn. Didn't mean to." Robin now had his arm around Finn as well, smiling at their closeness. Finn smiled at him before turning his focus to the school they were now approaching. "It's okay, just don't scream so loud next time." Finn laughed at his own statement, as did the other two. The boys removed their arms from each other, stepping a good space apart as they were now in front of the school. Robin scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, smiling down at Gwen as she waved goodbye and went inside the building. Finn gave her a quick hug, looking at Robin afterwards. "So, see you in science then?" Finn smiled brightly at the other boy, watching as he opened his mouth to say something before closing it once more. "Yeah, see you there." Robin smiled tightly, nodding his head at Finn who waved goodbye before making his way to class.

Robin sighed, rubbing a hand over his face and leaning on the outside wall of the school. Why is this so hard.

Finn's hands intertwined, forming a cup-like shape to retrieve water from the bathroom sink. The boy sighed quietly as the cool water hit his skin, droplets of it slowly sliding down his face. He was glad Robin hadn't seen his face redden at their contact that morning, and if he had, Finn was glad he hadn't said anything. He sighed once more when he heard the bathroom door swing open and hit the wall, familiar footsteps bounding towards him quickly. Finn wiped the water from his face with his shirt sleeve, not wanting the blood he'd knew would spill soon to mix in with it. "Morning Finney, excited to see us?" Matty's voice was laced with sarcasm, a sickly smile on his face. Finn's stomach twisted in disgust and fear at the sight. "Not going to respond fairy?" Finn wanted to shove the boy, always having hated that word and the way the other would say it to him almost daily. Finn's thoughts were cut off quickly when a fist made contact with his stomach, a loud groan escaping his lips upon impact. Another punch was thrown, this time to his cheek. That would definitely form a bruise. Finn reached a hand up to touch the wound, wincing with teary eyes when it stung aggressively. A balled up hand was seen above him, Finn closing his eyes awaiting the impact from it. The bathroom door swung open once again, this time shaking when it bounced off the wall behind it. "Leave him the fuck alone!" Finn smiled wearily upon hearing the voice, falling into the ground when the boys around him backed away. Through his blurred vision, he could see Robin throwing punches and kicking the three other boys. Finn's head throbbed loudly, the cold tiled floor doing nothing to soothe it. He closed his eyes, allowing himself to succumb to the pain he was engulfed in.

Robin paced in front of the bed where Finn lay, a frown sitting upon his face. He shook his head, negative thoughts clouding around inside of it. Robin grumbled angrily under his breath, shooting a glance towards the sleeping boy. The sound of a door opening made him flinch, prompting him to turn quickly to see who had come in. His shoulders slumped in relief when he saw Gwen, she too had a frown on her face. "What happened to him? Who did this?" Gwen had tears forming in her eyes, looking over at her brother and his wounded sleeping body. Robin's frown deepened, watching as tears fell down the young girl's face. "Bullies. Bullies happened to him." Gwen shook her head, sniffling loudly and wiping at her fallen tears. "How long has he been like this?" Robin looked at the small clock on the table next to the sleeping boy. "A couple of hours." Gwen sniffled again, quieter this time. She had come over as quickly as she could although it took a long time since she had been in class and didn't get the phone call until noon. "Is it okay if he stays here overnight? Our father, he'd just yell at him for getting hurt." Robin scowled at the mention of Terrance Blake, nodding his head at the question he'd been asked. Gwen wiped at another set of tears, hesitantly walking towards Robin and embracing him in a hug. Robin hugged her back, awkwardly patting her on the shoulder. "Update me when you can please, I'll be calling." Gwen smiled sadly at Robin, then at her brother. She left the room silently, closing the door behind her and quickly making her way out of the house and back to school.

Robin sat down near Finn, lightly pressing a hand to his neck to make sure he still had pulse, smiling when he found that he did. "Fuck Finn, I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner." Robin cursed at himself, upset that he could've protected his friend better if he had gotten to the bathroom earlier. Finn's hand twitched and his head rolled slightly to the side, falling lightly on Robin's lap. Robin's hand lazily made way into Finn's hair, running through it softly. He smiled when Finn's eyes flickered behind his closed eyelids. Removing his hand from the boy's hair, Robin moved towards his guitar and picked it up. Sitting next to his bed, he began to play the song he had wrote for the other boy. He sang the lyrics softly, his fingers strumming the guitar strings slowly. Unbeknownst to him, Finn was now awake, eyes still closed and listening to the boy sing the song. When Robin was finished, he looked back at Finn with his eyes glossed over.

"That was beautiful Robin, did you write that?" Finn spoke in a raspy voice, attempting to rub the sleep from his eyes. He winced slightly when his body burned, reminding him of why he was in the bed in the first place. Robin laughed softly, wiping at his teary eyes. "Yeah, yeah I wrote that. Did you like it?" Finn nodded his head, now fully looking at Robin with a small smile. "It was beautiful." Robin blushed, standing up from his spot on the floor and sitting next to Finn like he did a short time ago. "It was for you. The song, I wrote it about you." Robin had his eyes on his lap, scared of the reaction from the other boy. Next to him though, Finn was smiling wide and blushing. "I like you Finn. Always have. I was going to confess to you in two days actually." Robin started to ramble, Finn cut him off by intertwining their hands. Robin looked up at him, their eyes meeting. "I like you too Robin. Always have." Robin smiled, stroking Finn's hand with his thumb.

Finn stayed with Robin until Wednesday, the day he was fully healed. On that day, Robin sang him the song once more. A kiss was shared between the two at the end of it. Gwen, who had frequently checked on her brother while he hadn't been home, congratulated the two boys and hugged them tight. She made Robin promise her that he'd stick by her brother's side, smiling brightly when he instantly agreed.
