Finney's face was flushed, red splotches of sleepy blush pigmenting his cheeks as he shifted into a more comfortable position. His hair laid against his eyes, tickling the button of his nose as he snored lightly.
He stayed pretty, even in his sleep.
"Finney. It's already three in the afternoon. Care to wake up?" Robin's voice was slow and heavy, saturated with raspiness as he rubbed at his eyes. He hadn't gotten much sleep which, in all honesty, wasn't that unusual for him.
Finney stirred in his sleep, his tongue poking through his lips as he sniffled. Robin smiled at him and walked over, trapping a hand into his hair to play with the loose brunette curls.
"You're so pretty." Robin bent down to meet Finney's closed eyes, smiling even wider at the closer sight. "I'm so lucky to have you." Finney shifted, grumbling out incoherent words as Robin peppered light kisses against his face.
"Stop it." Finney put a hand against Robin's face, still mumbling as he frowned in his sleep. Robin laughed and moved Finney's hand from against him. "Fine, I'll leave you alone."
Robin stood up slowly and stretched, yawning against the back of his hand as his muscles loosened. He went to move towards the door, smiling in the dimness of the bedroom as a hand latched onto his. The grip was weak, though strong enough to drip a coat of honey-like warmth into his heart.
"Thought you weren't awake." Robin turned around, lowering himself once more to meet Finney's eyes. "You woke me up." Finney's bottom lip was poked out and his eyes were only halfway-open, sleepy tears glazing them lightly.
"You sleep too long." Robin pushed Finney's hair away from his eyes, fighting the urge to place kisses against his nearly closed eyelids. "You just get up too early." Finney wrapped his arms around Robin's neck and brought him close, nestling his head against the crook of his shoulder as he yawned into his shirt. "Yeah, maybe." Robin pressed a quick, feather-like kiss to Finney's forehead and leaned back, smiling at the sight of his boyfriend, his eyes fighting to stay open and a patch of sleepy-red blush crawling against his skin.
"I was going to surprise you with lunch, but-" Robin rubbed circles into Finney's back, balancing the both of them as mumbles echoed against his shirt. "Sweetheart, I'm going to need you to speak up please."
A muffled groan followed Robin's sentence as Finney sat himself up and yawned against his hand. "You can still surprise me. I'll stay in bed and you can cook." Robin shook his head, smiling when Finney attempted to crawl back underneath the bundles of covers they'd been gifted as a housewarming present. "No, you already woke up. Come help me cook instead. Maybe you'll end up surprising me."
Finney blinked slowly and frowned. "My cooking isn't that bad." Robin stood up and stuck a hand out, pulling Finney up with him with a small smile. "So you've improved then?"
"I'm going back to sleep."
