Finn kicked a stray rock that laid in front of him, watching with bored eyes as it tumbled a few feet away. The boy had been walking for quite some time now, having left home after his father threatened to beat him if he didn't 'get out of his sight'. It wasn't a surprise that the man's anger got the best of him. It was a usual occurrence after he had quite a few bottles of alcohol to drink.

Finn moved onto the other side of the sidewalk, being kind enough to let someone riding a bike pass him by. The wind howled softly, blowing leaves in different directions as well as the boy's messy jumble of hair. Finn grumbled, attempting to pat his hair down when another gust of wind blew through his curls.

Finn eventually gave up on trying to fix his hair and shoved his hands into his jacket pockets instead, slightly enjoying the warmth it gave his chilled fingers. The boy continued on his walk, cheeks constantly being nipped at by the wind, slowly becoming stained pink as a cold blush covered the skin on his face.

Close by, Finn spotted a familiar boy. His hair softly blew in the wind, only settling back down when he tightened the black bandanna around the top his head. The boy was walking too, seemingly unbeknownst of the other boy who was ten feet in front of him.

Finn walked closer, smiling softly as he was now closer than before. "Hey Robin." The other boy seemed to come down from his thoughts, blinking twice before a smile crossed his face. "Finn, hey."

Robin noticed the way Finn's face was flushed, due to the cold weather of course. He also noticed how the boy's hands were in his pockets, fingertips attempting to grasp at any warmth available to them.

"It's cold out. You're not wearing enough layers." Finn smiled at the concern, noticing slowly that the other boy was wearing both a jacket and a slightly oversized coat. "It's okay. I'm warm enough." As if it to spite him, Finn's teeth began to chatter. He turned his head as if to not allow the other to see him in such a condition.

Robin laughed, turning Finn's face back around with a warm hand. "Here. You can wear my coat." Finn wanted to shake his head, turn down the nice gesture so the other wouldn't turn cold from his own lack of layers. Robin beat him to the chase, quickly removing his oversized piece of clothing and shoving it gently into the boy's chest. "Put it on. You're freezing."

Finn reluctantly slid the other boy's coat over himself, slowly becoming engulfed in the heat that resided in the fabric of it. His teeth stopped chattering as well, much to his delight. "Thank you Robin." The other boy smiled, eyes scanning over the boy in his coat. "No problem. You look cute in it anyways, suits you y'know." Finn visibly reddened at the remark, eyes falling to his shoes as he had nothing to say in response. Robin chuckled, taking another step forward.

Finn looked up at him, noticing that the boy's skin looked paler than when he had the coat on minutes earlier. It made Finn feel bad.

Finn opened the coat up, hugging Robin so the fabric was now around them both. "Finn. What are you doing?" Robin laughed while he said it, aware that if anyone were to see them at the moment, they'd say 'look at those two boys on the sidewalk sharing a coat! that's kind of weird!'. "Shush Robin. You were cold, I'm cold, we're sharing."

Robin wrapped his arms around the other's waist, pulling the boy closer so that they were fully sharing the warmth. He pressed a gentle kiss to Finn's forehead, as well as his lips only a second later. Finn smiled, the warmth of the other boy as well as the coat he was bundled in embracing him softly.

"I love you Finn. More than the stars love the moon. More than the sun loves its sky." Robin and Finn leaned away from each other in the tiniest bit, just admiring each other's faces. "I love you too Robin. More than you'd ever know."

The rest of that cold afternoon was spent with the two boys walking around in the shared coat, laughing at each weird glance they got by other people that lined the streets of Denver. Though the two boys wouldn't trade that afternoon for anything else, having embraced each other for hours on end.
