The sight of Bruce, his skin extremely sun-kissed with a white glob of sunscreen trailing down his nose, made Vance double down in laughter. His stomach, which had been stuffed with sticky barbecued food, rumbled behind his arms as he hunched over in amusement.

"Is it that bad?" Bruce had a floppy hat on, which only made him look more ridiculous. His eyes sparkled beneath the summer sun, his pupils shimmering with the small waves of the pool beside him. Vance only nodded his head, a pained smile on his face as his laughter died down. "You look so, so stupid."

Bruce laughed at the statement, his eyes trailing over Vance's slightly tanned figure. The older boy was wearing a red hawaiian t-shirt and basketball shorts, his lack of fashion sense making Bruce shake his head with a smile. "You don't look any better."

Sunlight beamed down on the two boys, catching their smiles in its midst. Removing the hat that laid atop his head, Bruce sucked in a breath before cannon-balling into the pool. He laughed when he emerged, shaking his hair much like a puppy would as Vance, who had gotten wet from the splash, frowned at him.

"Come on, don't be a downer. We're here to have fun remember." Bruce put his arms on the edge of the pool, his pupils light and filled with adoration as he smiled up at Vance. The blonde rolled his eyes, smiling all the same before taking a step back. "Move your head dipshit."

Bruce squealed, holding his hands in front of him as Vance jumped into the water. "It's not that cold." Vance's face seemed to sparkle as water trailed down it, trapped in the blonde curls flowing past his shoulders. Bruce nodded his head, wiping at his face with a smile. "Yeah."

Vance stepped over to where Bruce was, seeing as how the pool was lower than his height. Wrapping his arms around the other's torso, he buried his head into Bruce's shoulder.

"This is nice. Thank you."

Bruce's face grew red as he nodded, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips and dipping into his dimples. "I love you, you know it's no problem."

Vance stood back, loosening his arms slightly. Bruce almost frowned at the lack of warmth before he was spun around, now facing the older boy who smiled down at him.

"I love you too."

Vance dipped his head towards Bruce's, pressing his lips to the center of the other's forehead. Bruce's eyes formed into crescents at the contact, the blush on his face shimmering underneath the sun.

"Okay, this is too cheesy for me. Let's play shark." Vance nearly ran to the other side of the pool, leaving Bruce a laughing mess behind his back. "And I'm the younger one."
