Bruce laid on his bed, body sprawled out lazily as he scrolled through multiple videos of different couples on social media. He smiled at a couple of them, phone screen illuminating his face in the dark room. He stopped scrolling when he came across a video that instantly caught his attention.

It was a prank video.

Bruce watched with amused eyes as a girl got into her boyfriend's car, hugging a sweater close to her as she snuggled into it and buckled herself in. Her boyfriend smiled at her warmly before the expression fell and was replaced by a frown. "Who's sweater is that?" His voice was slightly loud, echoing throughout Bruce's phone speaker and making a staticky noise, making the boy holding the phone grimace slightly. The girl in the video looked down at the sweater, secretly giving the camera a glance before looking back at her boyfriend. "Huh? Oh, I just bought this the other day. Do you like it?" The girl's boyfriend squinted at her, eyes traveling slowly down the sweater. He leaned in close, immediately reeling back into his seat with an angered look on his face. "I would if it didn't smell like another dude. Who the f-" Bruce paused the video, setting his phone against his chest. He smiled at himself.

He's going to prank Vance.

Bruce had recruited Finn to help him with his prank, knowing that him and the other boy wore the same size clothing.

"Bruce, he's going to kill me dude." Finn was laying face-down on Bruce's bed, his sweater already off and taken hostage by the other boy. Bruce rolled his eyes, grinning at himself in the mirror as he fixed the sweater he was wearing. "He's not going to kill you." Finn picked his head up, narrowing his eyes at his best friend. "If he's not going to kill me, then it's you he's going to kill." Bruce shrugged, adjusting the sleeves of the sweater. Something was missing. "Finn. Could you come here?" The other boy groaned, stretching his limbs before making his way over to to Bruce. "Yeah, what is it?" Bruce turned his body towards his best friend, looking down at himself. "What's missing?" Finn trailed his eyes over the sweater the boy was wearing, leaning in a bit closer for a better look. "I think you need someone's cologne. You know, to make it seem more realistic." Bruce smiled before going into his closet and beginning to dig through different items and stacks of clothes. Finn stood there awkwardly, moving slightly sideways when an object was thrown backwards towards him. "Hey! You almost hit me!" Bruce turned towards him, a small fragrance bottle in his hand. "Sorry about that. Anyways, I found what I needed." Finn looked at the item, tilting his head in confusion. "What is it?" Bruce smiled, spraying the fragrance over the sweater he had taken from Finn. "It's my uncle's cologne. Vance has never met him so he won't know how he smells." Finn nodded his head slowly in understanding. "Okay, how is it now?" Bruce spun around once before standing still in front of his best friend. Finn leaned towards him, smiling as he took a step back afterwards.

"Perfect."

Bruce gnawed on his bottom lip nervously, hands tapping on the table in front of him as he waited for his boyfriend to arrive at the diner. He pulled the sleeves of the sweater down, grateful that it provided some warmth in the cold area he was sat in. The diner door opened softly, making the bell atop of it ring loudly. Bruce's head shot towards the sound, a soft smile forming on his face as his boyfriend walked over to him. "Vance! You look pretty." The blonde chuckled, a light pink covering his cheeks. "Thanks Bruce. You look pretty too." Bruce smiled at the compliment, pulling the sleeves of the sweater he was wearing down once more. Oh right, the sweater. "Oh uh, I didn't know if you were getting the same thing you usually get, so I got us these menus." Bruce pushed one towards his boyfriend, fiddling with his hands after the menu was taken from him. Vance looked at him, concern washing over his features. "You okay over there?" Bruce nodded automatically, chewing on the side of his mouth. "Yeah, no yeah I'm good." Bruce mentally cursed himself for tripping over his words. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath to calm himself. He flinched slightly when he opened them, seeing that his boyfriend was way closer than before.

"Is this a new sweater?" Bruce gulped, forcing himself to smile as warmly as he could. "Uh, y-yeah. Yeah it is. Like it?" Vance looked down at him, lightly poking at the sweater he had on. It looked a little familiar. Putting his face close to Bruce's, Vance pulled a confused face when he smelled someone else's cologne. "Who's, uh, who's cologne is that? Doesn't smell like what you wear." Vance stepped back, giving his boyfriend a questioning stare. Bruce tapped the sides of his pants, averting his gaze from his boyfriend. "Uh, no this is what I use. My normal, everyday, scent." Vance stared down at him, frowning slightly. "Bruce. Could you look at me please?" Bruce hesitantly did as told, automatically feeling bad when he saw the tears in Vance's eyes. "Are you- are you seeing someone else? I mean, I know I'm not a perfect boyfriend but, but I thought that we were doing good and-" Bruce stood up quickly, embracing his shaking boyfriend. "Vance, baby it's a prank. This is Finn's sweater and my uncle's cologne. You haven't met him so you wouldn't know but, yeah. I'd never ever do that to you. Never. I love you so much V." The blonde sniffled, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend as well. "O-oh. Okay, that's good then." Bruce leaned back a little, pecking the other on the nose before pressing their heads together. "I love you Vance." The blonde smiled, pressing a short and soft kiss to his boyfriend's lips.

"I love you too Bruce. Never do that shit again."

Finn glared angrily at Bruce as he put his arm up to his eyes, showing him a fresh bite mark. "You see what your rabid ass boyfriend did to me? Control your dog!" Bruce laughed, watching as the blonde boy behind Finn proceeded to chase him around the room.

"Sorry! I thought I trained him better!"
