Finn always loved the night sky. He loved watching the stars dance and flicker in the black sky above. He also loved the moon. He admired it greatly. Someday, Finn hopes to join the beauty that is space.

Someday.

Thursday afternoon.

If Finn was proud of one thing, it would be his ability to run. His ability to run fast that is. The only bad thing is once his stamina runs out, he's absolutely fucked.

Sadly his stamina ran out at the worst time.

Finn's back pressed up against the brick wall behind him. His chest heaved aggressively and he felt dizzy. His palms began to feel slick with sweat, grossing out the boy instantly.

Matt, Matty, Buzz, and Moose stood in front of the panicking boy. Usually it would just be the normal three bullies. Finn guessed they finally bribed Moose enough for him to join them today.

"Finney Blake. It seems your fairy wings aren't helping you fly away today."

Finn, more than almost anything, hated being called a 'fairy'. No matter how many times it happened, the boy couldn't, and wouldn't, ever get used to the derogatory nickname.

Moose was the first one to swing on Finn. A sharp crack was heard, followed shortly after by a loud cry. Finn cupped his hands underneath his nose. Crimson-red blood gushed into his palms, painting them a matching color. The boy winced hard. A hand was suddenly in his hair. Finn felt his body leave the ground for a split second before he met it again, this time face first. Finn groaned in pain. His head throbbed and blood was now smeared every which way across his face and the ground. Finn tried to lift himself up, and he almost would've had it, but Buzz beat him to it. A forceful kick threw Finn straight on to the pavement below him. All the air in the boy's lungs left abruptly. He was choking, trying to find air that wouldn't come.

The world around Finn went quiet. A faint ringing noise went through one ear and out of the other one. His vision started to blur viciously, black dots suddenly surrounding him.

The last thing Finn saw, or thought he saw, was Robin Arellano and Gwendolyn Blake.

Finn didn't know being unconscious could be so peaceful. He was in a white box it seemed. It was quiet. Not too quiet, but a peaceful quiet. The area was warm and it made Finn's skin tingle. Finn started to feel heavy. His body began to feel like it was being pulled on a string towards someone unknown. Darkness overcame the boy once again and he was pulled backwards.

"Finn! Finney!"

Finn couldn't make out the voice speaking to him. His eyelids felt glued to his skin, proving of no use when he tried to force them open. His heart beat softly in his chest. Finn felt an odd sense of safety with whoever it was in the room with him.

"Finn please wake up. You gotta wake up buddy. You can't leave me. I'm so sorry."

Finn's mind had an 'aha!' moment when the person spoke. He knew it was Robin. He knew it was. Finn tried to speak, but his voice was hoarse and almost completely out.

"Robin?"

Finn's voice was lower than a whisper. It sounded rough. Rougher than usual. But Finn knew Robin had heard him. A pair of arms wrapped themselves around Finn's slender, and deeply bruised frame. The boy had never felt more safe. Finn felt the skin on his neck becoming wet. He assumed the person hugging him had begun to cry.

Finn's eyes snapped open. They burned horribly when the light hit them. but Finn ignored the urge to close them back. It took a minute for his sight to adjust, but when it did Finn smiled. Robin was holding him tightly, softly shaking as tears poured from his eyes on to Finn's pale skin.

"Robin."

This time the boy holding him heard him. Robin wiped his tears, his face turning red from embarrassment.

"Hey buddy. How do you feel?"

Finn laughed, wincing in pain immediately after. He remembered the bruises that were now painted on to him.

"I feel like shit Rob."

Robin laughed as well, fresh tears now pooling in his eyes.

"Yeah, I figured nothing less than that."

Robin removed himself from Finn, wiping again at his eyes to clear the tears threatening to spill out of them. Finn looked behind the boy, spotting his little sister asleep in one of the black plastic hospital chairs. Finn smiled softly, his gaze lingering on the girl for a couple seconds. Robin sniffled, any trace of tears now gone from his face. Finn made room for Robin to lay next to him, motioning the boy over when he was in a comfortable enough position. Robin was there instantly, his body entangling itself with Finn's. Their breathing began to match. The two boys stared at each other, lopsided grins on both of their faces. Robin's hand shot up and in to Finn's hair, massaging circles on to his scalp. Finn sighed contently.

It was now nighttime at the hospital. Gwen had gone home around the time the sun buried itself underneath the dirt and gravel of the earth, which was around 4 hours ago. She had given Finn, and Robin, a loving squeeze and a kiss on the cheek before leaving the hospital with a small smile.

The two boys had been watching TV on the small box in Finn's room since then, their bodies still entangled. Finn, although very content with what was going on, was bored. He never liked hospitals. Not since that one doctor had told Terrance Blake and his children that there was nothing they could do to save his wife, their mother. Finn shuddered at the thought.

"Robin. Can we go outside?" Finn asked the boy next to him, silently praying that Robin would say yes.

Robin seemed to think for a moment before remembering that there was a fenced in yard patients could go in whenever they pleased. He had heard about it from a nurse when Finn was first brought in.

"Yeah. I'll lead the way."
_

Robin and Finn's hands were interlocked as Robin dragged Finn through the hospital halls and out a large white door labeled "patient yard". Robin pushed the door open, pressing his back against it so Finn could come out, and walked to the center of the yard. Robin waved Finn, who was a couple steps behind him, over to where he was. Finn obliged and the two boys sat down on the short grass underneath them. The air was slightly chilly but it was still warm out. Neither boy minded.

Finn looked up at the sky and smiled. He could see the constellations perfectly. Looking back down at Robin, the boy softly gasped.

Robin's head was tilted upwards, his eyes sparkling with the stars' soft lights reflecting off of them. He had a calm, but happy, expression on his face.

Finn wanted to paint a picture of this moment. He wanted to engrave it in his mind. In his heart. This was the moment Finn realized he truly and utterly adored and loved Robin Arellano.

This is also what Finn brought up during their wedding. He smiled at the memory, as did Robin, as he slid the gold ring on to his lover's finger.

Robin had promised to protect him from anyone, as well as anything and everything, for the rest of his life. Finn had ugly cried when Robin had said that.

Now here the two were. Sitting underneath the stars as newlyweds.

Finn turned towards Robin, who was already staring at him.

"I've always loved space, but I think you're my favorite constellation."

Robin blushed profusely, shutting Finn up with a kiss.
