Robin fiddled with his fingers, thick saliva threatening to choke him just as his nervousness was doing. He opened the door of his home, quietly shutting it behind him when he was fully inside.

"Mama?"

The sound of a radio turning off was heard in another room, followed by a "¡Aquí!"

Robin made his way to where the noise came from, smiling as his eyes fell upon his mother in her favorite chair. He ignored the evident absence of his father, gulping down the sad sigh that was trying to claw its way out of him. Robin sat across from his mother, positioning himself comfortably on a purple armchair. He looked at the woman with a slight frown, causing her to mimic the expression.

"Si te dijera que estoy enamorada de otro chico, ¿me aceptarías?" Robin trembled at the thought of his mother saying no, the lady viciously yelling at him just as his father did. The woman in front of him gave him a questioning look before she smiled softly at him. "Claro que si. Eres mi hijo, mi bebé." Robin smiled at her reassuring words, stumbling over to his mother and engulfing her in a warm hug.

"I think I'm in love mama. In love with Finney Blake."

His mother nodded her head, an all knowing grin making way onto her face. "Finalmente te has dado cuenta tú mismo. Buen trabajo." The woman whispered the word's into her son's arms, wiping at the tears she knew would slowly start to form and roll down his cheeks.

"Good job." Robin repeated the words to himself, heart warm with love and appreciation.

Finn was laid across his bedroom floor, rocket ship torch spinning in his hands as he stared upwards at the ceiling. He sighed sadly, throwing the torch softly onto the floor and climbing into his bed. He groaned into his pillow, deeply yearning for the comfort of his friend. His wishes were answered quickly when a knocking sound came from his window, making him shoot up from his place on his bed and look towards the glass. He stood when he saw the face of his friend, a smile playing on his lips.

Finn slowly slid the window open, shivering at the sudden change of temperature.

"Can I come in?"

Finn mocked a thinking expression, laughing at his friend frowning at him as if he was being serious. "Yeah, climb in." Finn moved towards his bed, allowing the other boy to climb in and close the window behind him.

"So? What's got you coming here at 4 in the afternoon?"

Robin lunged at the boy, tackling him onto the bed and hugging him tightly. Finn returned it instantly, having missed the warmth only the other boy could offer.

"You said you loved me yesterday. I love you too. No- scratch that. I'm in love with you. I'm in love with you Finney Blake."

Finn's heart swelled, eyes becoming heated at the idea his best friend loved him back. Except, there was one thing still on his mind.

"Are you sure? What about- your da- I don't want you to force yourself into this."

Robin placed a warm hand on the other boy's cheek, stroking the skin atop of it softly. He smiled at Finn, leaning his face closer to his to connect their lips. He pulled away a minute or two after, needing to breathe before he passed out.

"I'm not forcing myself to do anything. This- we- us, this thing between us is real Finn. I love you, the entirety of you."

Finn blushed at the words, pressing his lips once again into the other boy's, smiling into it as two hands wrapped around his waist. When the two pulled away, Finn leant close to Robin's ear, cheeks as pink as a beginning sunset.

"I'm in love with you too. The entirety of you."

And at that moment, Robin didn't care about his father or anyone else for that matter. All he cared about was the boy in his arms, smiling at the thought of ever after with him. If Finn was with him, until death to them part hopefully, he'd be okay.
