Finn gulped down his tears, sniffling loudly as he curled into a ball underneath his bed. He had done this ever since he was a child, fear overtaking his body and prompting him to hide in secluded spaces. Thunder from outside shook the house slightly, a crackling noise following shortly afterwards. Finn let out a choked sob, scared that no one would find him until after the storm. His eyes began to sting viciously from the amount of tears he was letting out, hands wiping quickly to rid his face of them. Finn had been crying so loudly he hadn't noticed that the bedroom door had opened.

"Finn? Finn, mi amor, where are you?" Robin's voice was shaking in the tiniest amount, worried for his boyfriend. Finn could see his feet move towards the bed before his head also came into view, the boy's eyes meeting his own. "Finn, come on out here. I'm here now." Finn sniffled again, moving backwards towards the wall. Another sound of thunder was heard, making the crying boy place his hands over his ears and bite his tongue. Robin sighed, standing back up into a regular position. Finn saw his feet exit the room, making him cry more than he already was. Finn's eyes closed, his body falling into a deep slumber shortly after.

When Finn woke up, it was still raining but not as hard. No thunder could be heard, no lightning could be seen. The only thing Finn could hear was the soft taps of raindrops against his window. He smiled at the sight of them, only just then realizing he had awoke on the living room sofa. His head turned slightly, trying to hear for his boyfriend. He heard the shower water running, indicating that Robin was in the bathroom. Finn curled into himself, snuggling against the back of the sofa he laid upon. He smiled at the warmth the sofa offered, allowing it to lull him back to sleep.

Robin walked into the living room, hair wet and sticking to the back of his neck and forehead. His clothes were hanging loosely from his body, making him seem more slender than he actually was. His eyes glanced towards his boyfriend's sleeping body, lips curling into a smile as he walked closer to him. He rubbed a gentle hand through the boy's hair, watching intently as said boy twitched slightly in his sleep before returning to his peaceful state. Robin backed away from his boyfriend, smiling at him once more before making his way out of the small apartment.

————

When Robin came back, Finn was still asleep, legs tucked tightly by his chest. Robin put a hand to his cheek, caressing his thumb over the pale skin. "Finn, you've been asleep for a long time now. I think it's time for you to wake up." Finn twitched in his sleep, an annoyed whine escaping his now parted lips. Robin laughed, gasping softly when he felt his boyfriend's hands tug him close to him. Finn scooted his body over, pulling Robin down next to him in a laying position. "Lay with me. Please." Robin put an arm around the boy's waist, pressing a loving kiss to his temple before nodding his head gently. Finn smiled, pushing his head against the other's chest and closing his eyes once more. Robin rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's actions, fishing something out of his side pocket as quietly and quickly as he could. The boy next to him stirred, breathing slowly as his mind was foggy with sleep. Robin smiled down at him, holding a silver ring in his hand.

"I promise to love you forever Finn. For the rest of eternity and after."

Robin slid the ring on the sleeping boy's finger, smiling as he too drifted off to sleep.

The next time Finn woke, he was surprised to find the ring on his finger. He cried messily into his boyfriend's chest when he woke up as well, promising too to love him forever.
