"Why didn't you tell me she's coming over!??"

I had to pull my phone off my ear away when my boyfriend yelled on the other line.

"How would I know!?!"

I raised my voice in response only to nod apologetically when I saw people looking right at me.

Right.

I was still at the university.

"Didn't you just tell me she told you yesterday she's coming to see you!?!"

My boyfriend reminded me of my mishap.

"I didn't think that she would mean it. I thought she was just joking. She's a thousand miles away from here who would think that she'd travel that far just to talk to me!?!"

I didn't tell Pete  about the talk I had with his mother and decided to just sleep it off thinking that she was just bluffing.

Until I received a message from her informing me she's already waiting at my apartment just right after I finished an exam and walked out of the class.

In my shock, surprise and nervousness, I immediately called my boyfriend and told him about his mother.

"What did she say she wanted to talk to you about!?!"

I shook my head as I made my way to the exit.

"I have no idea. Well, she asked about us."

There was a pause on the other line.

"What about us!?!"

My boy for asked me as I continued walking out the university and into the road.

"She asked me how long do I think we would last this time."

I heard my boyfriend scoffed on the other line.

"She asked you that!?!"

My boyfriend asked me in his unusual loud voice.

"Yes. But it's not really that weird. I mean, she knows what happened before."

I had to admit, I was not really happy about the call I got form Pete's mother but later on as I analyzed it and thought about it before I went to bed, I realized that Pete's mother was just trying to look out for his son just like any other sane parent would do and so I wasn't that annoyed anymore.

"Okay, stop explaining on her behalf. Just wait for me there. We'll talk to her together."

My boyfriend told me and even if I should not, I couldn't help but smile.

Only to shake my head when I remembered the problem at hand.

"I told you I can't. I have to meet her now. And can you please stop blaming me!?! You're not helping!"

I told him as it slowly dawned on me how I was just a few meters away from his mother at the moment.

"Fine! Fine! Where are you now!?!"

He asked me as I finally made it to the exit.

"I'm at school, I just filed my excuse letter but I'm on my way back to my place."

I heard my boyfriend tutted before he spoke.

"No. Stay there. Let's meet my mother together."

I groaned at my boyfriend.

"What!?!"

He asked me when he heard my complaints.

"No! She's already waiting in front of my place. She just sent me a picture. And the lobby also called me not long ago informing me of a visitor. Also, do you really suggest I make your mother wait!?!"
