I sighed for the nth time as I sat on the swivel chair and played around on it.
I was done pacing and walking around for the last hour so I found another way to entertain myself from this deadly boredom.
I was at Pete's home office while he and Kaleb were away to the city to meet some investors and I didn't understand why I was not allowed to go with them.
It was my third week at Pete's and my third day as his official secretary.
My sprain was all healed now and I was also finally able to mend my relationship with Gup, somehow, as I learned how the guy was mad at me for running away under his watch which caused him an earful reprimand from his boss.
I mean, he still was as cold towards me as the day I got here but at least now, unlike the previous weeks, he would now acknowledge me and answer my questions.
As for Manang Sel, who was also really mad at me not for somehow making her an accessory to my escape but for apparently hurting myself, ignoring me by sending either Len, Zen or their cousin, Tess, whenever I asked for her, had already eased up on me right after the third batch of squash cupcake I made for them.
I also had said my personal apology when Pete formally told them about me staying.
"His name is Kao Angelo Velasco, but of course you all know that. I just want to inform all of you that he's finally, agreed, in his own will, to stay with us and work as my secretary. You know what to do. Just don't let him hurt himself whatever happens."
Pete said and I had to give an apologetic smile to everyone after him.
"Hi, guys. Thank you for taking care of me till now. And I'm sorry for giving you a hard time. Specially to you Gup. And manang Sel. I already talked to your young master about it and explained everything to him. I apologized on his behalf if he ever said anything hurtful to you because of that. Also, I hope we get along well and that you'd stop calling me young master and call me Kao instead. After all, we're all but Pete's employees."
And that's how I made a re entrance to the Gregorio mansion.
I didn't get to start working though as Pete required for me to have my sprain fully healed before he asked Kaleb to orient me with my job as Pete's new secretary to which Kaleb was very happy about.
It was hard at first as I really didn't have any experience with office work until then, but Kaleb was so patient with me that I was finally able to catch up on stuff by the time I was to assume my role as Pete's secretary.
I vowed to be professional and to do my job whole heartedly if only to compensate for him offering me a place to live and a job.
Only, I was not able to do much other than sit the whole time on my first official day just the same as my second.
And now, on my third day, I was informed during my breakfast alone how my boss and his assistant left early for the city.
Great!
Just about right for what I really wanted.
Because I really wanted to be useless in this house.
I went from my designated table to Pete's and continued playing with his swivel chair before I went back to mine when I got bored some more.
It was almost lunch time but there still was no email on what I needed to do as what Zen told me earlier of what Kaleb asked her to tell me.
I had lunch with the house helps and had finished watching two movies from netflix but my work email was as quiet as the whole house.
