The gaurds bowed as I walked inside the palace.
My head held high....
I walked in the emperor's office with Lucas beside me.
"Blessings and glory to the sun of the empire"
I greeted bowing a little to show my 'respect'.
"You may raise"
I heard the emperor as I stood up my head still up.
"So what is it? That his majesty called us?"
I asked with a straight face.
I no longer have any feelings for this man infront of me....
Neither anger....
Nor hate.....
Nor love......
Nor longing.....
Just.... nothing....
"Well it is about the south of the empire.."
"I would like you to go and inspect that area..."
Claude also told me with a straight and cold face specially emphasizing on you like telling me just you...
South.....
Wasn't that place had many bandits and dried crops....
Also a deadly virus infected many regions at that place.....
That part would have been dead already if not for the supplies send by the capital.....
But why is it me?
"Your majesty...I didn't understand.."
"What can I do there?"
I asked clearly showing my doubt.
I saw how a smirk formed on his face...it evil.....
"I want the lady to go and inspect that place.."
"It would be easy for you as you are the wife of the legendary black tower magician"
"But I don't have any mana so how can I help your majesty.."
I asked giving a cold gaze.

A giggle escaped from the lips of the emperor which sounded like he was mocking the girl
Athanasia glared at the emperor-
'how dare he insult me'
Her husband beside her completely vanished from her thoughts.
But as usual our dear magician won't allow anyone to insult his princess specially not a certain goldfish brain.

"I refuse"
The words escaped the magician's mouth as the two blondes turned there head towards him.
Athanasia tilted her head and Claude furrowed his brows.
"I won't accept any man's order neither my wife" he said nonchalantly and held Athanasia's hands.
"If you want...take someone else's help cause we're off" saying this latter teleported himself along with confused blonde girl.
The emperor was now the only one present in the office stunned by all that happened before.
After some moments he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists...
'that damned bastard witch!'

Lucas and Athanasia teleported out of the office in palace garden....
Athanasia was still shocked because of Lucas' did.
Her head turned to side and she looked at him with eyes widened in shock as fear crept inside her sending chills down her spine.
She took a step back hesitantly looking at lucas who looked really angry with his red eyes burning in the colour of blood.
