Niall’s POV
After the bonfire, all the girls ended up in the bathroom. We went to the kitchen to brush our teeth. Zayn brushed his teeth quickly and went out of the kitchen. If he was in my room so help me… I brushed mine, grabbed a glass of water and said night to the boys.
I went back to my room and of course, there was Zayn and Sadie making out on her bed. “Come on! I have to come in here too!” Zayn stood up and slapped me on the chest before leaving.
Sadie smiled at me and crawled under the covers. “Goodnight Nye!” She was the only person that called me that and never said it around others in case they picked it up and used it. I turned out the light and climbed into bed. “Nye?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you gonna ask Lucy to be official or what?”
“I Don’t know why?”
“Well, I think you need to. I feel like she is way into you, and if you aren’t interested-“ she said nervously.
“Who said I wasn’t interested?” I asked heated.
“I’m just sayin Nye, it looks like you’re teasing her and I know you do care about her. I just think it’s time to make things official.”
“By saying what? I wouldn’t even know how to talk about that stuff with her! We don’t have a relationship like that…”
“I couldn’t tell you, you know your relationship better than I do. When Zayn asked me he just forgot about everything and told me everything on his mind. Maybe that would work for you, maybe it wouldn’t.”
She was so damn wise when it came to relationships. She hadn’t even been in that many but she was like the love guru. Kind of like how Kayleigh was the life guru.
“Maybe I’ll take her on a walk or something and hold her hand. See how she responds.”
“Please, Niall. We all know she like you. That’s not the problem.” She said matter-of-factly.
I smiled. She did like me, I could tell, but no one ever said so, it was nice to hear…
“It’ll be interesting to see what Lucy’s like in a relationship…” She said half talking to herself. Would I be her first boyfriend? She was so pretty, how could she have never had one?
“Umm, has she never had a boyfriend?” I asked trying not to sound so anxious.
“Nope. “She replied yawning.
“huh.” I said “I never knewwww…”
“Mhm” she said falling asleep.
I stayed awake for a long time wondering if anyone else thought I was playing her or if Sadie only noticed because she was such good friends with the both of us. “Sadie” I whispered. “Sadie” I said in a louder voice. Still no response, damn. I wanted to keep talking about her… I fell asleep still pondering how to get Lucy into a conversation that would make me ask her to be my… my girlfriend…
