Zayn POV
When we got to Wallis’s everyone was already there. “I need to tell you something” Liam whispered excitedly as he walked past Sadie and I.
“What’d he say?” She asked
“I don’t even know, Dee” She blushed at the name I started to call her. Her phone buzzed and she smiled, looking at her phone. “Come on, babe” I said pulling her towards the first hole.
As we played, she kept pulling her phone out to text. I wanted her attention, not whoever was texting her. I slipped my hand in her back pocket. She lowered her phone and put her arm around my waist and kissed me. I felt her phone vibrate in her shorts. I sighed. “What?” she asked texting
“Nothing,” I said “Just wondering who’s so important?” I said pulling her close to me again. She put her hand on my chest and pushed me away. She has never pushed away my kiss.
“Hold on babe” she said finishing her text. “So” she said taking a deep breath “Where were we?” I gave her a confused face and just held her hand and walked to the next hole. Niall walked over to Sadie and whispered something to her. She rolled her eyes and looked at me. “Hey, you!” she said smiling.
“Oh, hey, I thought you forgot I was here”
“I can’t have other friends too?” she said hotly and dropped her hand.
“Well, it’s distracting having you texting someone else the whole time!” I said getting annoyed.
“Whatever, Zayn, you’re over-reacting…” She turned and walked to talk to Lucy. What just happened? Did we just fight? Why did she get so mad over the littlest thing?
We went to a little burger joint down the road. When we walked in I pulled Sadie aside. “Sadie, I didn’t mean to piss you off. I just wanted your attention. I like your attention.”
She tried to hide a smile “I know Zayn, but I want to be able to talk to people outside of these eight” she said gesturing to the rowdy bunch behind me.
“Ok, we cool? We good?” I said lifting her chin to look at me.
“Yea, we good.” she said wrapping her arms around my neck.
“You know I’m crazy about you right?” she looked up at me and kissed me.
“Who isn’t?” she said.
“Who were you talking to anyway?” I asked, curious.
“Cadence.” She turned to sit with everyone else. Cadence? I knew they were just friends but I felt jealous. I didn’t like the fact that Sadie was talking to other guys besides Niall, Harry, and Louis. I took a deep breath and literally shook it off.
I was sitting in between Sadie and Louis, who was throwing fries at Liam across the table. Sadie put her hand on my knee. I smiled at her and she turned back to talk to Bella. We were having a really weird day. It felt tense and awkward even after we made up. I tried to keep the nerves down, but I felt really anxious and I couldn’t stop playing with my fingers.
