THREE WEEKS LATER!
Bella POV
“Mine’s like lemony and lime-ish” Cara said describing the smoothie she was drinking
“Mine’s like blueberry-ish and some strawberry kinda.”Sadie explained
“Lemme taste yours?” I asked her. Mine was mango and guava
I was in a much happier mood lately. It felt like the sun was shining brighter, the birds were chirping louder, Louis was single again, the breeze felt cooler, the flowers were blooming. And yes, you caught that. Louis was single again.
“So is it awkward now with you and Lou, Kayls?” Lucy asked her as we all sat around the tiny metal table under the awning at Kim’s Café. We had all just gotten out of the gym and we always walk here after. Kayleigh put her smoothie down and looked through her big brown sunglasses at us.
“No. not really I think we both kind of just knew it was a summer love, like in the heat of the moment kind of thing, ya know? When we got home, we just kind of realized we didn’t have much in common.”
“So you never really got serious or anything?” Sadie asked, trying to suck up a huge clump of strawberry that was wedged in her straw.
“No, it wasn’t really like that, we never got past the honey moon, lovey dovey phase.” She giggled. “I’m not mad either, that we broke up, the relationship really only lasted like three weeks.” She was looking into her cup and making swirls in her smoothie as she talked to us.
“Well, I’m glad! Mostly because a sad Kayleigh is just too much for me to handle.” Cara said, hugging her. “There’s a perfectly good reason that YOU are the one who always has to take care of ME, Miss Foster.” We all laughed. Cara was always a mess. She was the opposite of Kayleigh.
“Well shall we, ladies?” Sadie asked. We got up from the table and headed to Sadie’s car. I jumped into the passenger seat and Lucy sat in the middle of Kayleigh and Cara in the back. We were going to Sadie and Liam’s to shower up and go to dinner. The boys were supposed to meet us in a few hours. I put on some Colbie Calliat and we took turns in the shower in her parent’s bathroom, the one in the basement and of course the one she and Liam shared. We decided to wear these outfits- http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=41754080
“Love is crazy, pretty baby, take it real slow” Sadie was mumbling along to “Feelings Show” as she put on her mascara.
“Sadie, your voice is so pretty.” Kayleigh complimented her “It must run in the family.”
“Liam can sing too?!” Lucy asked, surprised
“Yeah, he’s actually amazing!” Sadie said
“SOO good” Kayleigh smiled.
“Huh. Who knew?” Cara said. “He’s so shy sometimes.”
“Sometimes” Sadie said with an eye roll. We all chuckled and finished straightening/ curling, etc our hair and last minute make up touches.
“Why do we go through all this shit?” Cara asked as she carefully painted on her eyeliner.
”Not sure, but I hope one day, it pays off for me!” Kayleigh said hopping off the bathroom counter and grabbing her bag off Sadie’s bed.
“Amen to that.” I muttered, pushing up my boobs, so they would pop up more. Ugh I was so flat. Whatever. We got back in Sadie’s car and headed to… NANDOS! It was Niall’s turn to choose. He Always, always, chose Nandos.
We got inside and the boys had already gotten a table. We greeted each other and I watched as Kayleigh hugged Louis, like it was nothing. They smiled and went on like they hadn’t been shoving their tongues down each other’s throats just seven measly days ago. Well that was a good sign. If he was already over her, that meant he was ready for someone new? We’ll see…
