Harry POV
We got to school and all had to run to class because we were almost late. I had Science class with Cara, Louis and Kayleigh. We all had assigned seats so I sat next to this weird girl called Mel who always stared at me. It was pretty creepy. Louis and Kayleigh sat together on the other side of the room and Cara sat in front of me with a football player, jock type named Jake. He always flirted with her, but she didn’t play into it because she was dating this guy Alex. Alex was also in our class but he rarely ever came to class. I was almost asleep during an experiment we were doing because Mel always did them. I have to admit I turned on my charm when I was in this class to get her to do all of the work. I know it’s manipulative, but I just really cannot stand science. So anyway, I was almost falling asleep when I heard a crash on the other side of the room. Louis had been pretending to drink the hydrochloric acid when he dropped the beaker on the floor. Kayleigh was turning bright red as she tried to contain her laughter and our teacher, Mr. McDonald came over and lectured him about the safety of science. He then took this opportunity to give the entire class a speech and a detailed story about how he almost went blind in university over a debacle with a pesky Bunsen burner and a match. I tapped Cara on the back of the shoulder and she turned around to me, smiling as if she knew what I was going to say. “Kill me now” I mouthed. She winked at me and giggled. Her smile was the cutest thing, I swear. Mr. McDonald called her name and she quickly spun around in her chair. As she did this I got a whiff of her sweet perfume. Why did she have to have a boyfriend?
After class we all met up at the usual spot. It was on the third floor, where all of the last year student’s lockers were. When we chose our lockers, we all chose them around the same area. We met up here every day after every class. I walked with Louis as he pulled me to walk faster so Cara and Kayleigh couldn’t here behind us.
“So I heard another story about Alex” Louis said. Louis was always going to these crazy parties because he was friends with basically everyone.
“What did you hear?” I pushed.
“Well, he was getting pretty close with Justine and apparently they hooked up. Now I don’t know about you but that’s just one more thing to add onto the ‘Alex is a douche bag list”. I furrowed my eyebrows and pursed my lips.
“Dammit.” I muttered. “Why does she stay with him? Last week, when we were all at Bella’s I heard him yelling at her to stop being so moody.”
“Was she being moody?” Louis asked.
“No! She was upset because he kept texting someone all night and not talking to her.” I replied. “I don’t know man, all I know is she can’t keep being pushed around by him.”
We all go to the lockers where Liam, Zayn and Niall were already standing with Bella and Lucy. Sadie, Jennifer and Alex came around the corner and we were all chatting amongst ourselves. Louis yelled a big “HELLOOOOOOO” to get everyone’s attention for me. “He’s so obnoxious” I thought quietly and smiled. Everyone in the hall looked at us.
“Oh um. Heh, sorry. Not you guys.” I said to all of the random kids I didn’t know.
“Yeah not you, I don’t even know you!” said Louis. Zayn and Niall chuckled and I said
“So anyway, I was thinking mall today? After school?” Yeah everyone nodded and smiled. I walked over to my locker and had to awkwardly manoeuvre past Cara and Alex on one side, who were into a heated argument about why he couldn’t or could go to the mall today or something, I wasn’t really listening. I try to tune him out. And on the other side of my locker were Liam and his girlfriend Jennifer in an all-out make out session in the middle of the hallway. I got my books out and got a mischievous idea. I slammed my locker shut with all the force I could and Alex and Cara immediately shut up while Jennifer squealed in Liam’s arms. I Put a huge smile on my face and walked over to where Sadie, Louis, Bella and Niall were having a debate about whether or not the meat in the cafeteria was really safe to eat.
“Oh whatever Louis” Bella exclaimed
“I’m serious. I really heard it was kangaroo!” Louis said Niall and Sadie were in fits laughing at this point. “Isn’t that right Harold?”
“Oh yeah. And you know what else, Bella? The lettuce is made of cardboard.” We all started laughing and Bella even cracked a smile. The bell rang and we all walked our separate ways on to the next class of the day. “Is it three yet” was all I kept thinking.
