Zayn’s POV
The next morning we all decided to hang around the house. I was happy, that meant I could spend the whole day with Sadie. We’d only been on one real date and it ended in a goddamn car crash. We had to kiss in front of Liam; it was uncomfortable for all of us. I walked into Sadie and Niall’s room. She was still asleep. Of course, she was the last awake. I climbed on her bed and wrapped my arm around her waist. She groaned. “Wake up sleeping beauty” I whispered and kissed her cheek. I left, she was not a morning person and it was risky enough me going in there…
I walked back in my room. Liam was putting pants on, vulnerable. I ran and tackled him to the ground. “TODAY’S THE DAY!” I screamed in his ear.
“OUCH Zayn!” he yelled “I like being able to hear thank you!” I laughed “Get your knee out of my ribcage!”
I stood up and walked out without another word. I peeked in Sadie’s room, she was getting ready. Good. I was going to take her on a walk or something I think. I walked into the living room and plopped on the couch next to Louis. He was in here alone, watching cartoons. He put his arm around my shoulder and I waited for Sadie.
She finally came out and I stood up. “Put some shoes on. Let’s go”
She went back into her room and I followed. “Where exactly are we going?” she asked.
“Dunno, we’re gonna go on a walk.” I replied
We walked out the back door and towards the little dirt path among the trees. I grabbed her hand and intertwined my fingers in hers.
We started walking up the path. “You having fun?” I asked her
“Yeah! I always have fun when I’m with you!” she said getting up on her tip toes to kiss my cheek.
I laughed “That was cheesy!” I said she smiled. “You’re cute”
We walked for a little while longer. It was like all uphill.
“This is more of a hike than a walk…” Sadie said breathing heavily.
I saw a boulder just up ahead and I pulled her aside. We sat down and caught our breath. I rested my head on hers. I looked out and we were on a cliff. I was scared of heights. I was lightheaded. I couldn’t let Sadie know, she might laugh at me. I just needed to talk, get distracted…
“So, Sadie, err, I like your bikini?”
“Uh, thanks Zayn! Me too! I brought another; I’ll have to show you it later.” She winked at me. Oh shit. This was definitely distracting me.
She turned and sat cross legged facing me. It made me nervous, she was looking right at me, and I rubbed my chin. I leaned over and put my arm next to her leg. “You smell good!” I said suddenly.
“Thanks! I shower every once in a while, you know…” she said giggling
“Oh yea, good idea.” I winked at her. She turned and kissed me. She pulled away quickly. She was teasing me. Damn, she was good.
“You ready to head back?” she asked.
“Yup” I said standing up. I grabbed her hand again and we headed down the hill. We got to the bottom of the path and I pulled her arm to look at me. “Look, you’re hot” She giggled. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her close. I kissed her and she kissed me back resting her hands on my stomach. She definitely wanted a feel of those abs. I smiled. We walked to the house and sat back down with Louis and watched cartoons.
