Zayn’s POV
“So what the hell was that?” I asked walking in the bathroom behind Liam.
“Can I get some privacy please?” he asked peeling his shirt off. I turned to face the door. “That’s not what I- never mind.” He turned on the shower and gave me the all clear.
“Sooo tell me!” I said over the running water.
“I don’t know Zayn, we were just walking, then we played in some mud” he said carelessly.
“Yeah, it looked like you two were getting pretty dirty”
“Come on Zayn. She has Louis for that…” He was trying to joke about it and it was failing.
“Alright man, just be aware that Louis has eyes. He’s not dumb, and he’s probably already suspicious.” I left the bathroom for him to think about that. Damn, I was wise as hell. I turned at Niall and Sadie’s room to see Sadie in her new shirt looking at herself in the mirror.
“Damn, girl.” She started and turned quickly losing her balance. I laughed at her, she was so clumsy. “You look good in that.” I said sitting on her bed. She walked over and I pulled her to sit in my lap, curving my hand around her waist. Her red curls draped over my arm and I got goose bumps. She was giggling when my mouth closed over hers. The kiss was like a spark, our tongues met and I couldn’t get close enough. Her hand tightened in my hair and we melted back into the bed. There were lips and hands and the burn of want in me. When she lifted her head, her lips were slightly swollen and she bit the bottom lip.
“Woah” I croaked. She smiled at me in a way that made me forget my own name. My hand traveled lightly along her side until my fingers closed tightly around her hipbone.
“Damn it, Zayn.” She said lifting her head. “My mind’s fuzzy.” I chuckled lightly. I rolled over on top of her and kissed her collarbone then the side of her neck then just under her ear. She giggled in my ear and I swallowed it with my kiss. She tasted like cool mint. It was refreshing and I just wanted more and more. I heard a crash in the kitchen and glass shattering. I stood up quickly and we went to see what happened. Lucy was trapped in the corner of the kitchen surrounded by broken glass. Niall came around the corner and quickly turned to get shoes.
“Stay where you are Luce!” Sadie said. It must’ve been hard because she was on tip toes. Niall was back quickly and went in to lift her and carry her to safety. He sat her on the table and Sadie went to inspect. She brushed off her legs and Lucy had a big piece of glass sticking out of the bottom of her foot. “Oh, God…” Sadie said turning away. “I’m going to puke” She said getting far away from Lucy. Niall was in the kitchen sweeping.
“What happened? What’s wrong?” Lucy asked frantically.
“There’s glass in your foot, stay still.” I said calmly kneeling in front of her. I got a hold of the glass with my fingers and she sucked in a quick breath. “Ready?” She nodded. I didn’t count to three. I just yanked.
“Ow!” She yelled. Niall came into the room
“What happened?” he asked worried.
“She had glass in her foot I pulled it out. Oh God.” She was bleeding all over the hardwood. I stood and ran to get a towel. I put the towel around her foot and Niall carried her sniffling self into the living room.
“Not so good with blood are we?” I asked wrapping my arms around Sadie’s waist from behind. I kissed behind her ear.
“Not so much, I can’t be in here right now.” She said not looking back and walking towards the bedrooms. I wiped up the blood and went to find my queasy girlfriend. She was in the bathroom looking for band aids.
“Maybe you shouldn’t play nurse.” I said pulling her into my room. We laid down on me and Liam’s bed and I started to doze off. She shifted and kissed the side of my mouth. I put my arm around her and pulled her closer kissing the top of her head. I drifted again and woke up to Liam crawling in bed next to Sadie and falling asleep. I peered over his head to see it was midnight. I was surprised Liam didn’t kick Sadie out. It was cold, the more body heat the better…
