The moon and stars decorated the black sky, not a single cloud around to cover up the beautiful sight overhead. It was seemingly a very peaceful night to help wound down the day. In the farmhouse on Walker ranch, Cordell, (Name), and the kids are playing Clue.

Cordell is taking quite a long time to make his move and August looks at his watch. "Look, Dad, I-I'm gonna pull out the timer." He stated but Cordell stays quiet as he scratches under his chin with his clue cards. "Any day, now." Stella whined.

"Okay, there's no time limit on due process. I mean, you claim it was Mr. Green in the conservatory with the revolver, but the time and place suggest a crime of passion. He doesn't fit the bill." Cordell explains.

"You're seriously making me regret agreeing to amend the game for a more layered experience." Stella said and Cordell rolls his eyes. "You know for a Texas Ranger, you're really bad at this game." (Name) remarked, making the kids laugh and Cordell pretends to be offended.

"Oh is that right? Well Miss Scarlet, you are actually my prime suspect." Cordell proclaim, pointing at her. "Oh is that right, Colonel?" (Name) asked, with a playful smirk on her lips.

"Mm-hm. You have a bigger motive out of everyone for killing Mr. Bobby." Cordell said, waving his hand in the air and (Name) scoffs. "Sure. Blame the pretty lady in the red dress." She said, playfully and the kids laugh. "Well they do say red is a dangerous color." Cordell said, grinning.

A phone the starts vibrates and August picks it up to check it. "Hey, DJ's calling you." He announced, handing the phone to Stella. "That's random." She said, furrowing her brow at her phone.

As she gets up to answer it, Cordell's phone dings. "It's still your turn, Dad." August told him. "One sec, bud." Cordell said, taking his phone out to see he has multiple missed calls from Trey and Austin General Hospital.

He frowns and quickly calls Trey back. "Trey. Hey, what's up?" He asked, then listen for a moment and his face falls.

At the hospital, Trey is anxiously pacing around in blood stain clothing with the woman who helped him and James escape a gunmen, who shot at them right outside Trey's very own home. Trey managed get out unscathed but James wasn't so lucky.

Cordell, Bonham, Liam, Stella, August, and (Name) walk in and approached him. "Trey. Hey. Is he-is he..." Cordell asked, anxiously. "Hey. No. No, no, no. I haven't heard anything yet. I know they just rushed him into surgery, but that's... that's about it." Trey explains.

"Hi-His, uh, his son called Stella." Cordell said. "Yeah. Yeah, I know. I-I... I got his family info from Connie and I reached out." Trey explains. "Are you okay?" (Name) asked, looking at the blood on his shirt and jacket.

"Yeah... Yeah. Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, I'm-I'm... I'm good. I-I didn't get hit. But this whole thing just happened so fast. I..." Trey said, his brain still fried from everything that happened no more than a couple minutes ago.

"What the hell happened?" Cordell asked. "Trooper Jackson here. I responded to the scene and was set to watch over Trey Barnett before the incident." The woman said, joining into the conversation.

"Yeah. Uh, HQ updated me. We have any news?" Cordell asked. "From what little your captain gave us and Mr. Barnett's account, we're not currently able to discern motive and target. Didn't get an ID and no one saw the license plates." Jackson explains.

A door then opens and a female doctor walks out. "Doc." Trey said, turning to face her. "Is he okay?" Stella asked. "The family asked that I update you all. Thankfully, the bullet bypassed any major organs and arteries. He'll be out for a few more hours, but I'm positive about his prognosis. As soon as he's in a room, I'll have someone get you." The doctor explains and some gave a small nod while others let out a sigh of relief.
