(Just a quick heads up, going into season 2. There's gonna be a couple episodes I skip over. Some of them I felt like (Name) doesn't really need to be in them. And it would probably just be a lot of repeat of her fighting her growing feelings for Cordell to prolong the moment of when I want the confession to happen. So to avoid making this slow burn too unbearable, like I did with Supernatural, we're just gonna skip some here and there.)

3 Months Later
Cordell was racing through an open field of tall grass with Trey and Liam trailing behind him. "Come on, boys! What do you got?" Cordell shouted over his shoulder as Trey and Liam push each other, trying to slow the other down so they can get ahead.

Cordell runs up to a fence post where his hat sat and grabs it. "Ah! Oh, who got it? Who got it?" He asked, holding the hat out and Trey takes it from him.

"You got lucky." Trey said, putting the hat on while Liam doubles over, out of breath. Cordell laughs as he points at Trey. "But a... a hat shouldn't be for... for second place. It should be for first, right?" Trey asked, panting.

"Hey, second mouse gets the cheese, right?" Cordell asked, panting too and they fist bump. "Plus, I got plenty of hats. I'm here for the show. All right, stinker. Drinks on you." Cordell said, lightly hitting Liam on the chest and points at him.

"Hey, only three months in, and we already cut our time in half, boys. Ooh. Give me some." Trey said, grinning. "You got to slow that pace for when Micki gets back." Liam told him and Trey gave a short lived laugh.

"I'm always the one that had to keep up with her." Trey said and Cordell chuckles. "Yeah. Yeah. I remember that. You, uh, you talk to her lately?" He asked. "No. It's, uh, it's been almost a month." Trey muttered, worriedly.

"Yeah. Hey. I, uh, I'm meeting up with James later after I pick up (Name) from the airport. I'll see what I can find out." Cordell said. "Thanks, man." Trey said, appreciatively. "Yeah, course." Cordell said, nodding.

"Gonna be nice having (Name) back." Trey remarked. "Yeah." Cordell said, smiling as he thinks about her and the fun banter they have together. "Bet you're excited." Trey said and Cordell gives him a puzzled look. Trey hums, raising an eyebrow as if he knew something Cordell didn't.

"Oh, you mean...? No, no, no. It isn't like that at all." Cordell said, smiling as he waves his hands in a No gesture. "Really? I mean, you two kinda seem pretty solid." Trey said. "No, Cordi got his eyes on someone else." Liam said, with a mischievous smirk.

"Oh right, Geri." Trey said, nodding. "What is this, high school?" Cordell asked. "Well things have been pretty slow since Micki went undercover. Gotta find entertainment somewhere." Trey joked.

"And my love life is so entertaining?" Cordell asked in a sarcastic tone to which Trey shrugs at. "Way better than Twilight." He said, grinning and Cordell playfully shoves him. "Stop."

"Oh, hey, did you see the sold sign over the hill down by the old barn?" Liam asked Cordell as he points over his shoulder. "No." Cordell muttered, a look of dread briefly appearing on his face but he quickly covers it up with a smile.

"I wonder who the new neighbors are gonna be." He said, cheerfully and held up both fists. "Let's do it." He said and Liam and Trey fist bump him and started heading back.

Cordell pauses to look off into the distance where the old barn once stood, thinking back to a night he tries so hard to forget. One that involved him sneaking into that very same barn with a girl.

But then the two of them get spooked when they hear her father called out to her and they rushed back outside. In his rush, Cordell ended up leaving his lantern and when he got out to the field, the barn ended up catching fire.
