Cordell and his new partner Micki Ramirez were on a stakeout outside a strip club that was having a male stripper only night. Cordell takes out a bobblehead and places it on the dashboard. "I like it. It's nice. Still has that, uh, fresh truck smell."

"Okay, what is that?" Micki asked, lower her camera to shoot the bobblehead a disgusted look. "What do you mean? Look at him. It's for good luck." Cordell said, lightly hitting the bobblehead with his finger to make it's head shake. "Always smiling. Never judging. So, tell me... you activate all the fun features yet?"

"Nope, not yet. Kind of busy, you know, on this stakeout and all." Micki replied, holding up her camera to take a couple shots of the strip club. "Yeah, but not like it's your first rodeo." Cordell replied. "It's the first one as a Ranger." Micki retorted.

"Well, you're right. This is a... a big step for us." Cordell muttered. "Is it, now?" Micki asked, picking up her energy drink to take a sip. "Yes, and now we can discuss your choice of beverage." Cordell said, tapping on her engery drink. "Can we just keep our eyes out for Torreto?" Micki asked, pointing towards the strip club.

"We're here to track Torreto's movements. Not take her down. I'm pretty sure she's not making an arms deal while getting the old bump and grind. We should be using this time to get to know each other. Uh, you know, favorite movies, the teams you root for, middle name. Michelle... Sarah Ramirez." Cordell said and Micki smiles a little bit but doesn't give a respond.

"No?" Cordell mutters to himself. "Michelle Rachelle?" He said and Micki gives him a look. "Michelle Rachelle?" She repeated, in a you can't be serious tone. "Michelle Rachelle." Cordell said, acting like he was accepting that as an answer.

Micki looks away and Cordell laughs. "Okay, all right. I'm just saying while we surveil Torreto, we can learn a few things about each other, you know? Bond." He said. "Okay. How's Stella doing?" Micki asked, bluntly and Cordell makes a face, clearly regretting this.

"Wow. Uh, Stella and me, we are in a good place, I think. Uh, she has a-a court date coming up for the thing." He muttered. "Possession of marijuana." Micki said, pulling no punches and Cordell smiles uncomfortably. "Yes. And I would like to live in our good place a little bit longer."

"No one benefits from the easy route." Micki told him. "Yeah. Right. So, do you speak from experience?" Cordell asked and Micki sighs, looking away. "How are things with that new ranch-hand? (Name), wasn't it?" She asked, changing the subject and Cordell scoffs at her deflection but nods to her question.

"Yes and things are good. We uh get along really well, now that we've cleared the air." Cordell said. "Clear the air of what?" Micki asked, intrigued and Cordell smiles uncomfortably again. "I-It's nothing. Just a misunderstanding... sort of." Cordell mumbled and Micki eyes him suspiciously.

"So tell me, did your parents go easy on you or were they more the disciplinarians you can only now appreciate?" Cordell asked, kicking his boots up on the dashboard. "Neither." Micki replied.

"Listen, you opened this door..." Cordell said and Micki laughs. "No. You pried open this door without a warrant." She pointed out. "Well... I'm saying if you weren't talking about yourself, you had to be talking about somebody..." Cordell argued.

"Garrison." Micki utter suddenly and Cordell looks over at her surprised. "Garrison Murphy, he's an old friend. I was just... I was thinking about him while you were rambling." She said.

"Rambling? Okay, yes, I ramble. But..." Cordell said, nodding. "I know." Micki said as Cordell tries to think of a defense. "Garrison Murphy." He said, choosing to just get back to the name she mentioned and Micki hums, nodding. "What's his deal?" Cordell asked, intrigued.
