I only fall a few feet before my wings flair out stopping my descend. The air resistance hurt a little as my wings catch me. I gently flutter back to the ground and pull my wings back in. The cat hisses at me again, I take a step back.
"Are you scared of cats?" Stark smirks, "Your boxes arrived by the way. They are in your room. Also Banner suggested that you should stop by the lab, he saw the toaster you modified. Lots of spare room in the lab for you to work with."
"The toaster? Oh, it didn't turn out well, it, uh, exploded. On the bright side the toast was fine."
"Exploding toaster, always wanted one of those, how 'bout it kid?"
"Sounds fun, I'll go get my tool belt." I sprint back to my room and slit the box labeled 'Beth's experiments: Caution highly flammable'. My tool belt sits right on top. Underneath is my modified toaster, I was almost finished rebuilding it. I am a bit shocked that my boxes got here so quickly, I had not started unpacking at Aquae House so I suppose that saved some time. I strap my tool belt around my waist and grab my box of projects.
Stark's lab is really awesome, lots of super high tech tools, and various lab equipment. There is an open work space, hastily cleaned out given the piles of junk surrounding it, still I appreciate being given a space to work. I set my box down on the open work space and start unpacking my projects. When Stark walks in I have just put the finishing touches on my new and improved toaster. It shouldn't explode this time, the whole point of the toaster was to try to improve the quality of the toast, evenly heat the entire piece of bread to a nice golden brown.
"Is that the infamous toaster I see?"
"Yep, it won't explode this time. At least, I hope not. I have a couple other projects that might though-"
"Banner cleared out the work station for you by the way"
"I will be sure to thank him. Lunch is probably ready by now. I am going to put my toaster in the kitchen, is that okay?"
"Just don't destroy the cabinets, they're real wood."
