Grandpa steps off the plane first and offers his hand and helps grandma down. She takes his arm and they stand there together and you can see they are just as in love as the day they married if not more so. Grandma runs her eyes over us as if inspecting us for any damage. "What did I tell y'all about those woods?"
"To stay from 'em cause they were dangerous." I say looking down at my feet.
"Mhm and what did you kids do. Went into the woods and through that portal and got yourselves mixed up with them Fey folk. But oh we've missed you Beth."
"Grandma. There someone here you haven't seen in a while." I elbow Uncle Bucky. He shifts awkwardly. Grandma looks up and notice him ànd goes flying off of Grandpa's arm and hugs Bucky, he sweeps her up and spins her around like he used to when she was little."Bucky. Oh I've missed you so much. We were told you were dead but your here and you don't look any older than you did when you left."
"Becky."
"Bucky"
"You grew up."
"You didn't. You missed so much."
"Tell me. Please." With that the two walk back into the tower Bucky supporting Grandma as they go.
"What am I, chopped liver?" Grandpa shouts after them. Grandma turns around and winks at him "Of course not, you're more spinach. Good thing I love spinach. "
"Ew." Peter, Eliza and I chorus grimacing.
"At least she didn't pinch grandpa's butt this time." Eliza points out.
"Double ew." We all gag. Grandpa sighs and shakedown head. "Y'all will figure it out someday. Just not too soon, I'm too young to be a great grandpa."
"So you flew the B-29 out here for a reason. Why?" I quickly change the subject.
"Oh your grandmother said you kids would need it. Now we're great I think I know why. That hanger is empty except for ole spooky. Now which one of you is going to show me to the restroom an old mans bladder ain't what it once was."
