Author's note: Wow, a thousand reads and over a hundred votes, this sure has come a long way since I started. I just wanted to thank all of you for reading this and for your votes, thank you all for inspiring me to keep writing. I know a lot of people just write for themselves, and I do too to an extent, but it really means something when other people appreciate what you have written , it makes it all worth it somehow that people are reading what you wrote. Thank you. K.A.

Wanda, Peter, Eliza, and I sit in a booth together. Eliza looks at Peter, a healing cut on his forehead. "How was Arizona?"

"I wasn't involved in any actual fighting, I helped herd people to safety. The Chitauri were there, not many, maybe thirty or so holding the town captive looking for Dr. Foster. How was New Mexico?"

"We were only there about thirty minutes, got into a small fight with Loki and Beth collapsed so we went to Ayllaria, Loki was put on trial, joined House Falcon, but you know all that already."

I notice Loki standing awkwardly looking for a place to sit in the cafeteria while everyone gives him dirty looks promising pain if he sits near them. Thor stands and shouts, "Brother! I have saved a place for you!"

Loki looks distraught so I pull a chair over to the end of the booth and wave to him. He relaxes a bit and sits down.  I try to make conversation. "So how do you like House Falcon? Is being an Ayllarian citizen working out well?"

"Yes."

"That's very descriptive." Eliza snorts. "Surely you are more eloquent than that?"

"Surely you have better things to do than inquire as to my well being?"

"Nope. 'Cause we're friends, and that's what friends do." I say. He looks puzzled, muttering the word as if trying it out, "Friends. Friends. Fr-ien-ds."

"You've never had friends before have you?" Eliza asks.

"Who would want to be friends with me? I was everything HE was not. I was no warrior, I studied magic and other such unpopular subjects, picked on by my brother"  Loki sits the word out with as much contempt as he can muster. "the golden child who everyone adored. Who would pick me over him, he was to be king and I was just his strange shadow."

I can envision child Loki, so eager to please being cast out and constantly in Thor's shadow, striving to be seen as equal, working so hard in his studies, his accomplishments unnoticed, Actually, it is like i can see it all unfolding before me, Loki is practically thought broadcasting. Even with my little skill I can pick up on it. Wanda winces, Krizzy appears over his shoulder. "Stop it."

"Stop what?" He asks. She glares at him and grits out, "Thinking with such intensity, you are practically broadcasting your thoughts. Section two, article three of the code of Laws states that a telepath who is receiving strong thoughts at such an intensity that they cannot block them must provide warning if at all possible without informing an aware of our existence. By law, I must then warn you that I am privy to your thoughts at this time due to strong broadcasting, and i advise you quiet down or the entire cafeteria will know of your past."

"I am thinking to loud?" Loki laughs.

"It is no joke. Any trained telepath will tell you that certain people, when thinking on a subject with any strong emotion tend to broadcast the thoughts at a frequency most difficult to tune out and distressing to receive. You see, we can pick up on strong or repeating thoughts if we do not tune them out, but some surpass this and send their thought straight thru the barriers of our mind. Wanda is not trained as well and your thoughts are distressing her. Cease at once or we shall know your private thoughts."

Sunshine, rainbows, rain, thunderstorms, Thor, Thor, angry, Odin, I tried to be good, rage, GRRRRR. ANGER and Destruction.  I hold my head in my hands as my stomach churns. "Loki, stop it. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts. Rabbits and marshmallows and bunnies and flying, Loki think happy."

"Fine. Books, magic, illusions, trickery, deceive, manipulate."

"No. Happy thoughts. Books, what is your favorite book? Have you read Harry Potter?"

"Yes."

"Ravenclaw or Slytherin? Which one are you?"

"Slytherin."

"I  am a Ravenclaw." At last his thoughts calm and withdraw from my head.  He looks sorry, but mostly embarassed for having had Krizzy, Wanda, and I in his head hearing his most personal thoughts and memories. At least his mother was nice and seemed to encourage his studies, Odin and THor caused him a lot of hurt. I am so glad Thor changed cause he wasn't very nice to Loki though he is so sweet and well mannered now. It's hard to reconcile Loki's  accounts of Thor with the Thor I know.

Krizzy massages her temples and scowls at Loki, "Either learn to keep your thoughts private or I will have to teach you, and I guarantee you will not like it. Understood?"

He scowls as fiercely as Krizzy, obviously not pleased at taking orders from a seventeen year old girl, Krizzy continues to scowl at him until he gives in. "Fine."

She nods and walks away, back to the corner table where Dereck and Dominicus wait for her glaring at all the agents walking past who stare too long. Dominicus growls at a junior agent who stopped and gawked at them, little puffs of smoke escape Dominicus' nostrils causing the agent to drop his tray. Dereck bursts into fits of goggles until Dominicus turns on him. Dereck transforms into a wolf and growls at him. Dominicus transforms into a dragon, Dereck mimics him, only as a gray dragon rather than purple. The surrounding SHIELD agents have all drawn their guns and backed away from the dragons as they begin to circle each other. Krizzy shouts something in the old language at them. Dominicus replies in like. Dereck just snarls.

"Should we be concerned?" Nat asks, keeping an eye on the dragons as she speaks, a gun in hand.

"Naw, they do this fairly often, Think of Dereck as Stark, only magical and younger and Dominicus as sort of like Doctor B. Imagine what would happen if  Stark had the same abilities as Dereck." I pause to let that sink in, "Dereck likes to tease Dominicus, provoke him into dragon form, he usually changes when he is threatened or angry, sort of like Banner, then Dereck found out he could mimic Dominicus in dragon form, now they can bicker at a whole new level. Krizzy will settle this, one way or another."

The yelling is still going on over in their corner, Dereck snorts at Dominicus releasing smoke, Dominicus snarls something at him, which Dereck likewise returns. Dominicus leaps onto Dereck and the real fight begins. Krizzy shouts one last warning at them, before leaping in the fight, transforming into a slightly larger, teal dragon she roars at the pair digging her talons into the concrete floor.. Dominicus steps off of Dereck, removing his teeth from his tail. Dereck laughs as he goes back to his normal form, Krizzy changes back as well, as does Dominicus.

She scolds them and Dominicus hangs his head, Dereck grins. Krizzy says something to the effect of "We will see if you are still laughing when he is through with you." Dereck and Dominicus leave in shame, Dominicus still smoking from the ears and nose. Krizzy approaches our table and looks at Loki, "I have devised a new type of punishment. "

"Why are you telling me this, I had nothing to do with that."

"Because I need your assistance. I assigned Dereck three hours of Loki sitting duty tomorrow. 'Tis the proper expression, no? He will be responsible for keeping you out of trouble and such. Do to him as you see fit, nothing permanent." With that vague suggestion she walks away. An evil grin forms on his face.
