Septimus and Dominicus take Mint and Krizzy to the room that Domincus and Theo share; Theo pulls a medical bag out of midair and follows behind them. I chase after them but the door closes before I catch up to them. Theo is a medic and I know he is one of the best, but I want to make sure they are okay.
She saved me, that's a debt that can never be repayed. I knock on the door, "is there anything I can do? Are they going to be okay? "
The door opens, Septimus peers down at me, "Theo is doing everything he can to ensure they will make full recovery with all possible speed."
"Are they going to be okay though? "
"I believe they shall recover well enough."
"So that's a yes then?"
"You could interpret it as such."
"Sometimes you are really infuriating you know that."
"I have been told such before. Krizzia and Mint should be well enough to come downstairs in the morning. Theo can only do so much, sleep and time are the best cures now.""Are they awake? Can I see them?"
"They are not awake yet, Theo gave them something to help them sleep and to speed up recovery. You may come in, though I should warn you Dominicus is in a mood."
"Oh?"
'Theo thinks he likes Krizzy. Like likes her, is the expression used here, yes?' Septimus mindspeaks to me so Dominicus doesn't hear.
"O-hh."
He just blinks at me, "You humans make no sense, what is that supposed to mean? O-hh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Ooo-h." He rolls his eyes. "Humans."
"Hey, I'm part Fey."
"Approximately point oh one percent Fey." I move to punch his shoulder, but he dodges and flips me by my wrist. On some instinct, my wings pop out, Fey wings, as I tumble through the air. Less than a second after I first moved I land crouched on the door across the hall which just opened. I stick my tongue out at him, immature I know, and cackle, "Not so human am I?"
I finally look to see who opened the door I am sitting on, "Hi Steve! How are you? I'm just peachy, you might be wondering why I am up here. That would be because Sep tried to flip over his shoulder, oh that sounds bad, you see, I tried to playfully hit him on the shoulder, 'course I forgot that he's a trained soldier with Elven instincts, so he grabbed my arm, tried to flip me, but my wings popped out and somehow I got up here; Fey instincts I suppose, I am point oh one percent Fey, approximately. So, how are you?"
"I'm okay. How are you?" His eyebrows scrunch together-
"Silly adult people. Did I say that out loud? I'm okay really, I am just great, I feel kind of, energetic, like I could bounce off of walls, oh, want to race? I can fly and you can run? It'll be so much fun! Hey, Sep, how are you; are you doing well today? I'm great, like, really, really, really, REALLY great!"
"Are you okay, Beth?" Steve asks concerned.
"Of course I am! I haven't felt so great since, since, since, well never! I feel so Alive!"
Septimus looks up at me, "Beth, you need to get down now, okay?"
"Aw, but, I'm having so much fun up here. Maybe later."
"Beth, you need to get down now."
"But I don't wanna."
"Beth. Either you get off that door or I take you off."
I hop down off the door, Steve tries to catch me, I was not expecting that and land at an awkward angle pulling Sep down too. I land with a knee in someone's gut and an elbow tucked in someones armpit. The rest of me seems to land somewhere in the middle. I stand up careful to not step on any stray body parts. That sounds weird, but I gingerly get up so as to avoid stepping on any hands or anything.
