When you see a bunch of men in suits you can always expect bad news, unless you are at some formal event, even then, if they all wear shiny sunglasses and look like the guys in Men in Black be warned. So of course seeing a bunch of SHIELD agents immediately put me on guard. That one on the end there looks familiar. I tap on her shoulder, "Excuse me, you look familiar, are you one of them that helped kidnap me? Mom?
Mom throws her arms around me and I hug her right back basking in the feeling of unconditional love, the kind that tells you that this is home, perfect. Mom pulls away, oh boy here it comes. "Beth Annie Aquae! You're supposed to be at that internship, safe. What do mean kidnapping? Who kidnapped you?"
"Shield kidnapped, I mean rescued, nope, I definitely mean kidnapped me. Why are you here?"
"WHO GAVE THIS ORDER? This is my daughter not a dangerous-"
"Mom."
"Just a sec sweetgirl, I'm busy ripping these bas- uh idiots a new one."
"Mom."
"Yes."
"I'm part Fey."
"Who told you about that." Her eyes fill with worry.
"The, now desceased, Light Queen of the Fey. Mom, I went through the portal I was never at boarding school. I was caught in the civil war and trained as an assassin. Now, I'm part of the Avengers."
