Author's note: It's been a while... I don't have a schedule for updates but I was never planning to not write for so long. I was swamped in summer homework. Can't predict how fast the updates will be but I should be at least halfway through by now.
"They seem... nice." Sam says, "They retired?"
"No, they run a bar, well a honky tonk really." Eliza answers, Peter climbs up into the plane and opens the bomb bay causing boxes to come tumbling out. Upon closer inspection the boxes are labeled things like Peter's clothes and Eliza's books.
"Is this their way of kicking us out of the house do you think?" Eliza ponders, taking in the boxes scattered around the belly of the plane. I shrug, "Seems like it."
"Hope nothing broke."
"Yeah, that would suck." Peter adds in from beside Eliza, I didn't notice him approaching. We get to work carrying boxes inside and sorting them into their respective rooms, the entire team helps. Having superheroes helping makes the whole thing easier; Cap and Thor with their enhanced strength make the boxes look so light, even Clint and Sam are way stronger than I am. Not that I'm weak or anything, archery takes no small amount of muscle, especially if you want the bow to actually do any damage.
Once all the boxes have been relocated Steve calls a team meeting in the conference room, minus Bucky who is still talking with Grandma. Seventy years is a lot to catch up on.
"You three need to explain your backstory. Before anyone else you know decides to pay us a visit." Natasha says leaning her hands on the table.
"Aunt Maria, Uncle Howard, Uncle William, and my mom Peggy are all siblings. Aunt Adeline, Aunt Abigale, Uncle James, and my dad Steve are siblings. Aunt Maria and Uncle James are Peter's parents, Aunt Abigale and Uncle William are Eliza's parents, and Aunt Adeline and Uncle Howard are both single and hate each other. About a year and a half after I was born, Aunt Abigale and Uncle William died in a car crash. Eliza was taken in by Aunt Maria and Uncle James. When we were old enough we started spending our summers with Grandma and Grandpa. I was eight when I went to live with Aunt Maria and Uncle Ted for a year, the next year Peter and Eliza lived with me and my parents for a year. So we continued to switch off after that, one year with Peter's parents, summer at Grandma and Grandpa's and then a year with my parents. We grew up more like siblings than cousins." I explain trying to condense three life stories into a brief.
"Then of course, when we were, what sixteen, seventeen? Peter and I found the portal. Beth was sick, and was delayed in meeting us at the manor so we went without her. And never told her about it, so two years later, Peter and I were packing for college when Beth got bored and found the portal. The next time we saw each other was just the other day." Eliza continues.
"All the Fey ancestry is from Grandpa's family. Aunt Peggy, Uncle Howard, and Aunt Adeline were adopted, biological siblings, and have a bit of elf blood, house of Falcon, distant relatives to the royals." Peter says, "Uncle Howard might be able to access his magic though I am not sure, I think Aunt Adelina can as well and that's why they hate each other. That's everything and everyone, right Beth?"
"Yeah, that's our family. Well, there is Granddad and Grandmum but neither of them are visiting, both of them have dementia so, um, yeah." I nod awkwardly.
"Grandmum?" Wanda wonders, "I thought the Americans said Grandma?"
"Grandmum moved here from England in the fifties so we call a slightly more British sounding name. Better that than calling her Grandma Peggy or Grandma Carter-"
"Peggy Carter. Your grandmother is Peggy Carter?" Steve chokes out, looking sort of emotional.
