The next few weeks pass quickly, a blur, the weekdays busy with training and the weekends with reading, lab time, the usual things. As a team we watched Frozen and Brave, played Risk, had a karaoke challenge, no surprise Steve won with Nat a close second. That cat made a few more appearances, usually winding up with me on some perch somewhere and the cat hissing up at me until someone else, besides Banner or Loki who the little monster seems to hate as well, walked in, t which point it became a perfect angel. Devious little bugger.

Which is what just happened, I woke up, got ready for the day, headed down to breakfast and ran into the cat on my way downstairs. As part of my training I was no longer allowed elevator privileges which meant I was taking the stairs. To be a good sport I wasn't flying, since the point was to walk or run everywhere. I was just going about my business when that little beast hissed at me and took a swipe at my leg. I shrieked and ran, but of course cats go really fast down stairs. He was waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs. I hiss at the monster as it sits considering how best to kill me, its' claws are out and it is staring at me. IT moves and I leap away, fluttering and landing about ten away. It stalks closer, closer, it pounces. I scream as I run around it and out the door.

It follows me, it is still following me and I am still shrieking loudly.

I head for the kitchen where Steve and Bucky are, it's our turn to prepare breakfast, thus the lack of people in the stairwell. I take a running leap into the kitchen and land on top of the fridge. I seem to have passed my uncle and Cap on my way, they must have gone to investigate the screams cause they are standing by the doorway peering over the top of Steve's shield. Seeing that is just the cat the shield lowers and Steve scoops it up. The cat, which was hissing and trying to bite me just seconds ago is now docile and doing a very good job pretending to be a sweetheart.

"You saw it chasing me right? It was hissing and tried to a chunk out of me. And look at its' smug little grin! It does such a good job, fooling everyone into thinking it is sweet but then it tries to attack me. But it's game is up, you saw it chase me... right? I know it did, I was just walking down the stairs when it sauntered up and took a swipe at me and chased me around, it trapped me by the door and tried to pounce on me but then I ran around it and.... and... and it chased me. And I am scared of cats... and this is why... well events like this.... but you saw it... you did see didn't you?"

"Uh, no actually, it's so small that the furniture hid it if it was chasing you. I just saw you running and screeching like a banshee. And then you on the ice box with the cat sitting down licking its' paw." Uncle Bucky rubs the back of his neck sheepishly with his metal arm.

"Doesn't that hurt?"

"What?"

"Rubbing your neck with the metal, I would think the metal might pinch, does it?"

"No."

"Really, that's neat, that's an awesome arm. Superb engineering right there."

"Thank you, I think?"

"Huh? oh, okay, so breakfast, pancakes, waffles, both?"

We finally get a true Midwestern thunderstorm that afternoon, thereby canceling the special outdoor flight practice. I am curled up in the nest with a book or two, when Krizzy mindspeaks to Peter, Eliza, Dereck, and Dominicus. 'Want to play a trick on the trickster?'

'Of course.'

'Good. Meet me in the living room in ten minutes, fake ceremonial dress. Black tunic, black trousers, black robes, whatever accessories you deem necessary, we are going dancing. Rain dancing.'
