Jin had just completed setting up Jimin's playroom when he heard the doorbell. He did not expect anyone to be there, so he was hesitant to open the door. On the other hand, when the bell rang again, he was compelled to go and investigate who was there.
The children were asleep, and this was the only time he had to get things done around the house, so the last thing he wanted was for them to wake up.
He had no idea that Taehyung's mother would be there, so he was taken aback when he saw her at the front door. He had not been informed of any intentions for her to pay a visit. After making some adjustments to his clothes, he opened the door to welcome her in.
"Mrs. Kim, how are you?"
Ye-bin welcomed Seokjin with a bright smile and gave him a warm embrace before asking, "Oh my goodness, are you going to have twins?" She could not hide the emotion on her face when she saw him since his stomach had significantly expanded since the last time she had seen him.
As he broke free of her hold, Jin heaved a breath involuntarily. He did not answer immediately; rather, he concentrated on shutting the door.
"Where are the babies?" Ye-Bin inquired as she looked around.
"Both are asleep."
"Oh, that's good. I am here to see you anyway."
This surprised Jin, "me?"
"Yes. I won't be here for very long since I am certain my son will hurry back to the house if he finds out I am here." Ye-Bin laughed as she said it, but her gaze never left Jin as she watched him process her words.
Jin smiled faintly, "would you like something to drink?"
"Sure."
"Okay, great, you can have a seat in the living room, and I will take it to you."

After Jin had finished preparing a beverage for Ye-Bin, he took it into the living room, where she was seated, flipping through a photo book, and served it to her.
"These pictures are lovely; when were they taken?"
"Oh, we took them when Jungkook turned two months old."
Ye-Bin smiled as she flipped through the kids' albums, "Jimin is adorable."
"He is." Jin smiled. "He is really smart too."
With a shift in her concentration, "I want to talk to you about something, but it's private," Ye-Bin said as she stared at Jin.
"Should we go outside in the back? The view is amazing out there." Jin said as he stared at Ye-Bin.
Ye-Bin smiled, "I think that would be lovely."
Jin led the way out to the backyard, but before he did so, he made sure to bring along one of the wireless monitors to keep an eye on the children.
He led Ye-Bin to the farthest area of the backyard, near the garden closest to the pond he visited during the daytime hours.
"Wow, Taehyung has made some changes to this place. How much time has passed since I last visited this place?" Ye-Bin questioned as she took a seat and looked around.
"The garden is lovely," Jin responded with a smile.
Ye-Bin looked at him; her heart ached, but she couldn't show it. "So, how have things been with my son?"
"It's been good."
"Seokjin, I am aware that you do not know a lot about me, but I had always respected your mother, which is one of the reasons why I immediately thought of you when I realized that my son needed to be married. She is an incredibly strong lady with many skills I have never been allowed to acquire.
