"Appa, are you sleeping?" Jimin questioned as he worked to separate Jin's eyelids while doing so.
Jin slowly opened his eyes and stared at his son, who looked down at him as he sat on his chest.
"Good morning, sweetie, and how are you?" When he helped Jimin sit down on the bed, he asked him. After that, he carefully rose up on the bed and leaned against the headboard. While he attempted to find a position that would be more comfortable for him, the soreness in his muscles caused him to have a pained expression.
Jimin contorted his body to look his appa in the eye and say, "I am fine. I was not given cookies."
"It is because cookies should not be eaten at this hour. Have you had breakfast yet?" Jin asked while he rubbed his hand over his stomach.
"I did, and I ate," Jimin responded with a smile. "Kookie had eggs too."
"That's good. Where is Kookie, and how did you get in here?"
Jin was aware that, even though he had not fastened the lock on the door to his room, he had closed the door completely, and there was no way that Jimin could have reached the door handle. Because of this, he began to speculate that Jimin had whined excessively, prompting one of the nannies to open the door. As they had done it in the past, it would not surprise him if they did it again.
When he put his mind to it, Jimin could be a very stubborn person, and he was well aware that not everyone could take telling him no, mainly when he was passionate about something he wanted.
"Kookie, bathtime." As he kneeled and moved closer to his appa, Jimin said, "Jimin opened the door."
"You opened the door? How?"
"I used my stool and climbed the door open."
"Didn't I tell you never to do that again?"
Jimin nodded, "Yes."
"Then why did you do it again?"
"I don't know." Jimin shrugged as he smiled while looking at Jin.
Jin heaved a sigh and sternly said, "I am going to start putting you on timeout for not listening to me. Jimin, you put yourself in danger if you keep doing things like this. Do you want me to tell your dad you are not listening to me?"
Jimin nodded, "Yes."
"You want me to say that to him?" Jin asked again, this time with wide-open eyes as he couldn't believe his son's response.
"Yes, if you please. He will give me a cookie."
Jin was silent as he stared at Jimin.
With a smile, Jimin asked, "What's wrong, Appa? You do not tell him?"
"You are not being a nice son, Jimin."
"How come?" Jimin asked with curious eyes as he looked up at his Appa. "Is Kookie a nice son?"
"No."
Jin did not want to give in since he did not want to stir up trouble between his two boys. He knew that Jimin was knowledgeable and would not forget it if he stated Jungkook was a nice son while saying the opposite about him.
"Oh," Jimin said. "Kookie is not nice."
"That's all you heard? I said you were not being nice, either."
"I know."
The words "You are so much like Taehyung, it is scary" came out of Jin's mouth as he shook his head.
