Although this wasn't Jin and Taehyung's first time going out together, he still felt slightly nervous.

He was sitting comfortably in Taehyung's car's passenger seat. With the soothing touch of his palm on his stomach to help calm and reassure himself. He closed his eyes and gave in to the moment's peace, letting his thoughts go wherever they pleased. He started to think about the kids and what they were doing. Despite Taehyung's reassurances, he worried about the kids constantly. It wasn't easy for him not to think of them.

The triplets did not cause him as much concern as they were with his mother. However, when it came to Jungkook and Jimin. Anxiety coursed through his veins, his mind consumed by worry.

Their eldest son, Jimin, was with Namjoon and Hoseok. While he harbored a sense of trust toward Hoseok, the same sentiment could be extended to Namjoon.

He was not in agreement with Taehyung's decision for Jimin to go to their house, yet the moment Jimin's ears caught wind of Hoseok's name, there was nothing that could be said to get him to change his mind. Jin was well aware that the primary motivation behind their eldest's desire to visit Hoseok's home was the promise that he would indulge in freshly made cookies.

As if it wasn't already bad, Taehyung had taken their Jungkook to Yoongi's house. Jin had never seen Jungkook interact with Yoongi, and he was doing his best to trust his ex-husband's words as he knew if there was one thing for certain was that Taehyung would not put Jungkook in a situation that would bring harm to him. He knew how much he loved Jungkook.

His thoughts were shattered when a hand caressed his thigh. As his gaze descended, he saw Taehyung's hand extended onto his thigh. A fleeting glance was exchanged between them. "You are driving." The words came out softly from Jin's lips as if he was reminding Taehyung to put both hands on the wheel as he drove.

"Stop worrying about the kids; everything will be fine. I want you to think about us and only us tonight."

"Did you check to ensure Namjoon had no blueberries in his house?"

"I did, and he feels bad about what happened to Jimin that day. It was a mistake; if anyone is to be blamed, it's me. It was my fault for letting him prepare pancakes for Jimin. I should have known better about Jimin's eating time, but I wasn't being the parent that I should have been."

"Who said I didn't blame you?" Jin's inquisitive gaze fell upon Taehyung as he posed his question.

Taehyung glanced at him in disbelief.

"Why do you look so surprised?"

"I won't respond to that because it's not worth it. Tonight is a rare chance to get a break from the stresses of being a parent. It's an evening just for the two of us, so we can enjoy each other's company and try to work on a future together.

Let's give this night our full attention, keep our hearts open, and get closer to each other. I don't want us focusing on anything else or you focusing on anyone that is not me, got it?"

Jin remained silent; his gaze averted from Taehyung, fixated instead on the passing scenery beyond the car window. Taking a moment to steady himself, he allowed his head to sink into the headrest, finding solace in its comforting embrace. A smile graced his lips, indicating the calm that washed over him.

"You are supposed to say yes, Seokjin."

"I am supposed to say what I want, Taehyung, rather than conform to your desires. Especially if tonight's focus is meant to be about our future." Jin's gaze settled upon Taehyung as he responded. He then turned his gaze back to the car window without saying another word.
