"Forgiveness"

One day we will meet once more
Three adults wearing our nostalgic mind for the night
I reckon she will be by your side holding your hand
That scene will be something pulled out of her dreams
I can imagine how happy she’ll be when that day comes
Pride glistening on the reflection from the armor she once used
I will remember how my name became a taboo
How my name that means oath of God tasted bitter in her mouth
And I will remember that time I lost against you
Everybody’s eyes will be on both of you
Everyone is going to say you are made for each other
Everyone will admire the way you look at her
While I am standing on the corner drinking champagne
She will stand in front of me and greet me with a smile
Underneath that sweet smile will be the words
“You lost”, well I already know that
“He’s mine” I don’t have any intention to take what’s not mine
“You look miserable” she will say with a fake concern
If being alone means misery then maybe I am
But in my opinion, I am not as miserable as you think I am
There might be no music of love on the background
But at least the flowers that withered before me are dead now
I built a new garden filled with flowers blooming in every color
Representing every person who love me for who I am
Friends who were there for me when everything crumbled
Friends who embraced me with every warmth they could give
Friends who build me up again with words that made me smile
While in the graveyard along with memories that tore me apart,
There you will find the ones who shut the door in my face
Instead of talking about the things that made her mad
The ones who only thought about himself
Those who ran away after seeing me drown
See, I may not have a man to tell me I’m enough for him
But I have a battalion of friends ready to fight alongside me
Either I will say your name with anger or with contentment
But don’t be weary, don’t feel threatened
I don't intend to start a war or say anything bad
There would be no drawing of swords
There would be no bleeding of tongues
Instead I am here asking for forgiveness
Forgiveness for the foolishness I did in the past
A mistake that took a big part of my heart
I did my best to fix the holes in the boat
I am sorry I crossed the line I shouldn’t have
I will smile back and say “I’m happy to see you again”
Behind that kind greeting is my reply to her message
I never hated you, I never hated her
I was just hoping you’ll ask for forgiveness too
For killing me or for making me think you were my friends
But forget that I wished for that, I forgive you nonetheless
I’ve left the fragments of those memories buried in the past.
I hope you will not find happiness in my despair
I hope there is no hatred, I am hoping for your forgiveness.
