The rest of the Monday house party passes so pleasantly. We have a sort of informal lunch, with Jimin in charge of the rice cooker and JK making ramen; Yoongi takes charge of grilling up samgyeopsal and beef, while Jin with his injured hand supervises unnecessarily. Taehyung is wide awake by the end of the meal, and challenges the other guys to a foosball tournament, so the maknae line plus Hobi troop out to the game room. Jin goes up to the family room to play Mario Kart as best he can, while Yoongi takes up the offer of a nap in one of the guest bedrooms.
I am sitting on one of the loungers, letting the sun dry me after my post-lunch swim, when Namjoon comes over and sits beside me. "Eunen Sae-shi, I hear that I should thank you for the character reference," he says.
I smile over at him and push my sunglasses up onto the top of my head. "Character reference?"
"Harin tells me that you said very nice things about me, when she asked." He gives me a dimpled smile.
"Ah!" I chuckle. "I only said what any ARMY would say, Namjoon-shi. So you two are together now?"
He nods, smiling again. "Yes. She will be here next week, and come to the third and fourth concerts."
I grin at him. "Oh, I hope that I can spend some time with her! She seemed so nice and so interesting, at Hobi's birthday party!"
"Yes, she mentioned wanting to spend time with you, too."
"Does she have a place to stay, Namjoon-shi? We have plenty of space here. You could stay here, too, if you like. We would be happy to share."
"Thank you! We might take you up on that offer."
I don't mention the condoms Tae bought for them.
After sundown, the guys grill up a bunch more meat and the prawns, and we all sit down at the outdoor dining table. I flip on the string lights, to give it a festive atmosphere, and carry out the panchan and rice. Yoongi, JK, and Jin bring the whiskey and soju that Tae bought, plus some glasses, and we have a fun, leisurely meal, to the strains of Tae's relaxation playlist.
Around 11:30 p.m., the members start to say that they should probably head back to the hotel, since they have rehearsals in the morning. "What time?" I ask, and Namjoon and Jin simultaneously tell me 10 a.m. Namjoon calls for the cars to come pick them up, and they all promise to come again the next time they have a rest day. Tae and I stand on the front porch together to see them off, and it feels both strange and natural at the same time, to be playing suburban host and hostess this way.
As soon as they're gone, Taehyung grins at me. "That was so fun, Birdie! Thanks for all your hard work preparing for it. Now, I have been thinking about some spray cream and chocolate frosting for dessert." He gives me a sexy snarl, and pokes his tongue out. "What do you think?"

The rest of the week, the guys are practicing hard for the concerts. I am very happy to see Emily when she drives up Thursday afternoon - I'm running out of ways to entertain myself all day!
