"Did you get away clean?" Taehyung asks as I flop down in my desk chair, out of breath.
"Yeah, I think so! I may have seen your parents driving up as my cab pulled away," I say smiling with my eyes really big. "I honestly had no idea that they lived so close now!"
"The company advised me not to talk about it, so we have been keeping it quiet." He shrugs.
"It's very sweet of you to buy them a place, Tae. I'm not surprised, though." He nods, but he looks a little glum. I study his face. "Are you OK, love?" A strange expression I don't recognize flashes across his eyes as he looks at me, and then he smiles.
"Yeah, I'm just going to miss you! I wasn't joking about sneaking over to your place at night," he says. I grin at him.
"Well, tonight you need to go straight home after work and greet your parents, but tomorrow you could drop by my place on the way..." I raise my eyebrows and lick the corner of my mouth.
He grins. "Yes, that would be nice. But it doesn't solve the problem of me not sleeping when I can't hold you."
"Hmm, I guess we'll just both have to survive for a few nights." I pout at him. "I should have grabbed some condoms, but it didn't occur to me. I'll get a box for my place," I smile at him. "Oh, and there's a lot more food in your fridge now than there was before I moved in. Your mom might wonder about that."
"Is the other half of your birthday cake still in there?"
"Oh, shoot, yeah. Maybe a little less than half - I had some for breakfast yesterday. I wonder if you can still read the 'Birdie' part?" I make a yikes face at him.
"Well, it's around Jimin's birthday. I will just tell them that it's Jimin's cake if they ask. After all, he's supposed to be a little chick, right?"
I laugh. "Oh my gosh, that's actually perfect, isn't it?" I smile at him for a moment, and a thought suddenly occurs to me. "Are your parents bringing Yeontan, Tae?!"
He grins. "Yes! I am so excited to see him. We'll have to find a way for you to meet him!" I clap my hands together.
"Yes!! He's the cutest. I don't think we should introduce him to Lulu, though!" We both laugh.
"He's going to smell Lulu all over the condo and be pissed off, but oh well!" Taehyung says, grinning.

That evening, I order saengseon jjim delivered, since there's nothing in the fridge, and dust the whole house while I wait for it. "Wow, it's pretty weird to be back here, isn't it?" I remark to Lulu, who glares at me and turns her back. "What's your problem? It isn't permanent. I would rather be there with him, too, you know, you little turd." I sigh. "I order baked fish to bribe you with, but still you treat me this way! Maybe I won't share, once it gets here." I laugh.
