Taehyung gets home relatively early from shooting Run BTS, around 6:45 pm.

"How was filming, love?" I ask him.

"It was fun. Those were the easiest episodes we've ever done!" he laughs. "We just went and hung out in the hotel and rested and ate a bunch of room service food and played some games."

I laugh. "Well, if anyone else did a show where that was all they did, I don't think I would watch, but I'm sure you guys still managed to make it entertaining!"

"Yeah, we each won a million won, too." He grins and shakes his head.

"Gosh, what are you going to do with your wealth?" I ask him, laughing.

"Hmm..." he walks over and wraps his arms around me. "Maybe I should buy us some plane tickets somewhere tropical, just the two of us?"

"Oh, wow, that sounds amazing..." I say, smiling up at him. "I don't know when your schedule will allow those kinds of shenanigans, but I'm ready to go whenever you can!"

"Maybe this winter we can go, when it's all cold and grey here. Although winter is my favorite. We'll have to go after the first snow, because I don't want to miss it."

I smile at him lovingly. "OK, my winter bear. After the first snow. It's a date." He leans down to kiss me. "You guys are filming again tomorrow, aren't you?" I ask him.

"Yup." He tucks one of my curls behind my ear. "What are you going to do while I'm busy?"

"Oh, I'll probably borrow your studio and work on a song or something," I say, winking at him. "If that's OK with you."

"Anytime, Birdie," he says.

We're sitting and watching the evening news, which is the usual covid update, plus a creepy murder in a subway restroom and some change to an arcane parliamentary rule that I can't even begin to follow. Tae turns to me and says, "I can't believe this, but I'm hungry. I spent the whole day eating. I guess it warmed up my stomach."

I laugh at him. "What all did you eat?"

He starts counting on his fingers. "I had a club sandwich, fries, galbi, rice, jangeo deopbap, fruit juice..."

I giggle. "Wow. That's a pretty good lunch. What would you like for dinner?"

"I don't know. We could order sashimi or something," he replies.

"Actually, instead of ordering out, why don't we cook something? I have a bunch of food in the fridge that will just go to waste if we don't use it."

Tae nods. "What can we make?"

"How about japchae?"

I defrost a two pack of steaks while Taehyung very carefully slices mushrooms. I julienne carrots and cut an onion into thin wedges, then show him how to core a bell pepper and slice it. While he does that, I wash spinach and slice it into narrow ribbons. I cut the steaks into thin strips. Once the water is boiling, I ask him to add the noodles, and then I cook the steak strips and mushrooms in a frying pan, and add the veggies just for a minute at the end.
