The next morning, Y/n woke up later than normal. She was the last one to wake up, the mattresses around her empty. She rubbed her eyes and made her way downstairs.
"Someone slept well" Seungkwan commented as he made his way over to her, smoothing out her messy bed hair.
"did everyone already leave?" she asked, her voice groggy.
"yeah they left around an hour ago" Junhui said from his usual spot in front of the computers. She sat down next to Chan and Joshua on one of the couches, stretching her legs out in front of her.

"you and Soonyoung seemed cozy with each other last night" Minghao said, earning a few chuckles around the room. Y/n looked around and gave everyone a confused look not knowing what he meant.
"you clung onto him like a little koala bear while you were sleeping, he was so embarrassed when he woke up, it was very funny" Chan explained, laughing as he recalled what happened this morning. Y/n covered her face with her hands and slid further into the couch, her face visibly red.
"A few of the guys were definitely jealous, i mean you should have seen the look Vernon gave him, hopefully he doesn't kill him while they're gone" Junhui added causing Y/n to groan out of embarrassment.

An hour or two later, Minghao was teaching Y/n some basic first aid.
"If you have a puncture wound it's important to put pressure on it, that will help to stop the bleeding, if something is in the wound like a knife, never pull it out, if you pull it out you're risking causing more internal damage, the object is also stopping you from bleeding out" Minghao explained as she watched him intently, trying her best to understand. He went on to explain the importance of disinfecting wounds to minimise the risk of infection and how to effectively wrap them with bandages. She nodded every few seconds, retaining the information.

"Now remember, things are different and it's even more important now to keep yourself protected, if any DNA from those zombies such as blood, saliva, sweat or anything like that enters your blood stream you're likely to get infected, even if you have a tiny scratch on you and you touch their blood, that blood can seep into the scratch and infect you, so you need to be extremely careful around them and you need to make sure you treat and cover up ALL of your wounds even if you think they're insignificant because if you get infected by a zombie, there's nothing you can do.."he said as he finished wrapping a fake wound on Y/n's arm. He moved on to explaining what liquids would be the best at disinfecting wounds and how to cleanse them effectively.

Minghao finished his first aid lesson with Y/n,
"now you can look after all your boyfriends when you go out supply hunting" Seungkwan joked as he helped Minghao pack away the bandages they used for practice. Y/n hit his arm,
"none of them are my boyfriends!" she exclaimed not impressed by his joke. Chan couldn't help but let out a laugh causing the girl to glare at him,
"it's not funny!" she whined.

Y/n fell back into the couch, eyes fixed on the door to the warehouse. She wanted to leave and go and find her brother, or at least help the others find more supplies but she was exhausted, she would only slow them down and be burdensome. She was worried. It was different being out there but now that she wasn't with the people she spent everyday with, she didn't like the feeling of waiting for them to come back, not knowing when or if they were going to return. Now she knew why every day when she would walk through the warehouse doors she would be engulfed in a hug by Chan and Seungkwan, a relieved smile on their faces. Even though she hasn't known the others for long, they felt like family and she wouldn't know what she would do if anything happened to any of them.

As she was deep in thought, her eyes grew heavy and she allowed herself to close her eyes and succumb to the sleep that was pulling her further into the couch.
