Y/n was curled up on the couch in Chan's arms. The past few days had been hard and she was mentally exhausted. A moment wouldn't go by where her heart didn't ache and her thoughts weren't filled with memories of Joshua. She started acting extremely clingy towards Chan, Seungkwan and Vernon, she was scared that if she let them go, they would leave her too.
It didn't help that Seungcheol would constantly be occupying himself with something to distract his mind and wouldn't give her any attention. And if he wasn't distracting himself, he was either wallowing in a pit of depression or lashing out at anyone who came close to him. She couldn't imagine how hard it would have been for him to be the one to pull the trigger. She tried to talk to him about it but anytime she would try to comfort him he would shut himself away from her and everyone else in the group. It was hard to see her brother like this but it's not like she could bring his best friend back from the dead. It was hard for her as well and it was especially hard for Jeonghan, he just lost his closest friend and his other closest friend wasn't speaking to him.
Vernon stood up from his position on the couch next to Y/n. It was time for the supply team to go out and look for resources while also keeping track of where they've been already so they could create a new map. Y/n clung onto Vernon's arm,
"Can I come today? I haven't been out in a while.." she asked as Vernon looked down at her. Sure she was safe at the cabin but she was slowly loosing her mind not doing anything everyday. She needed a distraction, some fresh air and exercise.
Vernon gave her an unsure look,
"I don't know...your leg isn't completely healed yet and it's safer if you stay here" he said causing her to groan. She diverted her attention to her brother who was standing by the door, pulling a backpack over his shoulders.
"Cheol can I please come with you guys? I hate staying here everyday, it's getting unbearable" she whined. Seungcheol kept his back to her,
"no" he said bluntly. The girl behind him huffed and tugged at his backpack.
"But Seungcheol I-"
"I SAID NO!" he shouted in a sudden burst of anger. Y/n flinched and stepped away from him, surprised that her brother would lash out at her like that.
All eyes in the room were now on the siblings standing in the doorway. Seungcheol looked around and cleared his throat,
"you're not coming and that's final" he spoke, his tone assertive. She narrowed her eyes at him as she watched the group of boys - which consisted of Seungcheol, Soonyoung, Jihoon, Mingyu, Seokmin and Vernon - leave the cabin.
Her eyes landed on her gun that was laid on the table next to a spare backpack. She stomped over to the table, flung the bag over her shoulder and took her gun, making a beeline for the door the males just left from. Seungkwan and Chan stood up in a hurry,
"Y/n wait! you should stay here-" Seungkwan tried to call out to her but was interrupted by the door slamming closed.
The group weren't too far ahead of her so she caught up to them quickly. She stormed past her brother and made her way to the front of the group where Soonyoung and Seokmin were.
"Y/n go back to the cabin" she heard Seungcheol say from behind her, his voice getting progressively closer. She continued to ignore him until he was standing in front of her.
"Don't ignore me. Go back to the cabin" he repeated.
"No" she argued back.
Seungcheol was very quickly loosing his patience with his younger sister.
"I'm not going back, i can't stand to spend another day sitting around doing nothing when I could be doing something useful" she said.
"You don't get to shut yourself away from me for days when I needed you and then lash out at me like you know what's best for me when all you're doing is trying to control me!" she yelled. She took one last look at her brother before brushing past his shoulder and walking ahead of the group.
