As she fought with her internal thoughts, she felt a hand gently grab her own.
"You'll be okay, im right here..." Soonyoung said, rubbing her hands. She breathed deeply and nodded. She was still scared but she knew she needed to jump sooner rather than later. The longer she waited, the longer Soonyoung would have to wait as well and she didn't want to put him in any more danger than she had to.

She glanced at the door that was about to be broken down at any second and then took a small run up, trying to not overthink the distance and she jumped. Her heart dropped and felt everything move in slow motion when she realised she wasn't going to make it across. Her body slammed into and collided harshest with the side of the building. She quickly grabbed onto the parapet of the other buildings roof, her hand slipping. There was a thick metal rail that ran on the outside of the building. Her hand slipped and she held onto the rail for dear life, trying to hold her body up for as long as she could. She clenched her eyes shut and hoped that the others would pull her up or do something to help her before she fell.

"SHIT, Y/N DONT LET GO, JUST HOLD ON" Vernon yelled from above her, panic evident in his voice.
"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK IM DOING?!?!WHY WOULD I LET GO" she shouted back, tears welling in her eyes as she felt her arms start to burn and tire out. She attempted to pull herself up higher but that only made her body want to give up even more.
"Please help! I can't hold on for much longer" she cried out. Just as she felt her hand slipping again she felt two hands being wrapped tightly around both of her wrists, roughly pulling her up and onto the roof.

Seungcheol and Mingyu had pulled her up, Mingyu wrapping his arms securely around her shaking body. She panted heavily and held tightly onto Mingyu's arms, not wanting to let go. She was too caught up in trying to process everything that she didn't realise Soonyoung had already made his way over until he was crouching in front of her.
"See I told you that you would be okay, you're not dead so that's a success right?" he said, causing her to instantly glare at him and hit him.
"I almost died and that's what you say to me!" she exclaimed. He smiled at her and shook his head,
"C'mom let's go home, im sure you need some rest after that" he ignored her comment and pulled her up by her hands.

On their way out of the building they were now in, Soonyoung kept Y/n close to him, not letting her out of his sight or grip, always holding onto either her hand or the back of her backpack. When he saw her fall, he felt like the air was sucked out of his lungs. It scared him. It scared him a lot and he didn't want to let go of her.

The others looked back and checked on her every now and then as well to make sure she was okay. Of course she still felt shaken up but it comforted her knowing she was surrounded by people that cared for her and would do anything to protect her.

Thankfully the building they were in was empty and quiet unlike the shopping mall they were in not long ago, making their trip outside quick and uneventful.

They eventually made their way back to the cabin as the sun started to set, their backpacks full of supplies.

The others happily welcomed them back, glad that they all returned safe. Junhui was set up at the main dining table with tools around him as he worked on the small radio. Jihoon and Vernon gave him the resources they found from the electronics store in hopes that he could use them for something useful. Junhui thanked them and went back to what he was working on.

Y/n fell onto the couch next to Seungkwan and Chan, laying down and resting her head on Seungkwans lap. She ranted to them about her day and her near death experience to which they listened intently. She eventually stopped talking and sat in a comfortable silence with her two best friends. She looked around the cabin, her eyes landing on Soonyoung who walked off into another room. She sat with her thoughts for a few seconds before she decided to get up and follow him.

She walked into one of the bedrooms, seeing Soonyoung organising some of the new supplies that they brought back.
"hey.." she greeted softly. Soonyoung turned around at hearing her voice and smiled.
"hey, how are you after earlier?" he asked, stopping what he was doing and focusing his attention on the girl in front of him. She averted her gaze and nodded,
"i'm okay, it's just scary to think i was two seconds away from dying" she laughed awkwardly.
"uhm i actually came here to ask you something" she said, causing him to raise his eyebrow and hummed, signalling for her to continue.

She paused for a second as she tried to articulate what she was going to say, her cheeks turning a light pink colour before looking up at him.
"back at the mall...in the back of that shop, what was that?" she asked, avoiding his eyes once again, too embarrassed to look at him. Soonyoung observed her quietly for a few seconds, studying her face,
"did i make you uncomfortable? i'm sorry if-" he started but was quickly interrupted by her.
"no!" she blurted out quickly. She cleared her throat and her cheeks burned even brighter,
"no...you didn't make me uncomfortable" she mumbled, suddenly feeling as though she wanted to run out of the room, crawl up into a ball and disappear.

He chuckled at her reaction, finding it cute how embarrassed she was. He stepped closer to her and brought his hand up to her face, titling her chin up to look at him. His eyes travelled around her face, taking in her features before they landed on her lips. His thumb grazed over them softly like he did before,
"good" he whispered before leaning in and connecting their lips.
