"what is that?" Vernon questioned as he leaned over Chan's shoulder, watching him assemble something in his hands. Chan turned around and looked almost offended at the question, assuming it was obvious what he was making. Chan had flimsily attached a kitchen knife to the top of a large stick he found outside with duct tape.

"I think the knife on its own would do more damage than it being on the stick..." Jihoon said in amusement, watching as Chan went to pick up his work of art from the table, the knife immediately falling off the stick. Chan sighed dramatically and put his head into his hands,
"oh my god...i'm going to die" he mumbled.

Vernon forced out a laugh and rubbed the younger boys back. He anxiously bit the inside of his cheek. He knew the next week wasn't going to be easy. Half of them weren't used to dealing with zombies everyday and the outside world in general. I mean sure, they had the others to protect them but he couldn't help but feel worried. It would be extremely unlikely for things to go smoothly.

And oh was Vernon right.

They were only a few hours into their trip and they were already hiding like their lives depended on it, breaths heavy and uneven, hearts beating rapidly as they tried to stay quiet.

A few minutes prior, Seungkwan had caught glimpse of around three zombies in the distance. They hadn't noticed them and were unsuspecting of their presence. On any normal day, the supply team would simply ignore them as they didn't pose as much of a threat, and honestly, it's easier to not draw attention to themselves then it is to stress about brain dead bodies stumbling about the streets. They were used to it. But Seungkwan was not.

He instantly panicked and let out a not so quiet screech. The noise obviously caught the attention of the three zombies. They snarled and started running towards them, wanting to sink their dirty teeth into their skin.

These three zombies weren't as fast as some of the ones they had encountered before and didn't seem as smart either. It was light work for Seungcheol, Jihoon and Mingyu to take them out. However, Seungkwan had started running off in another direction screaming his head off as if he was being chased, even though the zombies were already dead, blood oozing out onto the floor.
"oh for fucks sake..." Soonyoung sighed, watching the younger boy run off. His screaming had attracted unwanted attention, zombies emerging from shadows behind the trees and from the insides of decrepit buildings.

Y/n ran after her friend, the rest of group following behind. Seungkwan stopped running when Y/n caught up to him and pulled him back harshly by the collar of his shirt.
"oh my god, shut up!" she whisper yelled. Seungkwans eyes widened and he was quick to plaster his hand over his mouth in realisation.

They turned around at hearing the rest of the group approaching, Jihoon muttering something about hiding because Seungkwan had attracted a lot of them with his hysterical performance. Y/n looked around, there weren't a lot of places to hide. They were in the middle of a road that was covered in overgrowth, moss consuming the concrete below them and the surrounding structures. She spotted a rusty car a few metres a head of them, it was too low for them to hide underneath but she tried her luck and reached for the door. It was unlocked but needed a good yank of the handle for it open. She shoved Seungkwan inside and climbed in after him, promptly shutting the door and clasping a hand over his mouth, she knew he wouldn't be able to stay silent on his own.

She wasn't able to see if the others were able to hide safely before she crawled into the car, she could only hope they were. Seungkwan was sat in between her legs on the floor of the car, next to the back seats. They were laying down slightly, just enough so their heads couldn't be seen from outside of the car through the dusty windows.

She spoke quietly into his ear,
"you can't scream like that...no matter what happens you need to stay quiet okay? we know what we're doing so you need to trust us to keep you safe". The car went silent again after she finished speaking. Seungkwan nodded his head slowly, her hand still pressed firmly against his mouth. She slowly released her hand, feeling as though she could trust him to stay quiet now.

They shuffled around slightly so they were each leaning against one of the car doors, Seungkwan not leaning against her chest anymore. They stayed sitting in silence, quietly staring at one another. It was extremely quiet, too quiet for her liking. There were no sounds outside whatsoever, no sign that the others were around or that there were zombies outside either.

Y/n turned around and peered out of the window, not seeing anyone outside. She turned around and quietly instructed for Seungkwan to stay in the car before she slowly creaked the door open. She slid out of the car and stood up, she looked around and visibly relaxed, she went to gesture for Seungkwan to come out as well but stopped when she was abruptly pushed to the ground. Her head made contact with the concrete underneath her, the moss broke the fall slightly but her eyes still filled with stars and her breath was knocked out of her from the harsh impact.

She looked up and saw a zombie above her, drool spilling out of its mouth as it clawed at her. The drool fell onto her face making her groan in disgust. She tried her best to hold it an arms length away from her, using one of her hands to feel around for her blade that was supposed to be attached to her side. She internally panicked when she couldn't find it, her hands scrambling around for something, anything. She felt sick, probably from the impact her head sustained but also because she thought her life was about to come to an end. The zombie was a lot stronger than her so she couldn't easily push it off of her like she normally would, and her arms were getting fatigued, her muscles burning as if they were set on fire.

She flinched when she saw the sharp end of a blade an inch away from her face. It was sticking through the zombies head and within a second it was gone again. The zombie collapsed onto her body, trapping it beneath her as the weight of it sucked the air out of her lungs. She rolled out from underneath it and took in multiple deep breaths. She knew her face was covered in blood, she could feel the disgustingly familiar hot liquid on her face and could faintly see it out of the corner of her eyes.

She looked up to see Seungkwan standing with her blade in his hands, wide eyed and shaking like a leaf.
Sure, he had seen the others kill zombies plenty of times before but he's never had to do it himself.
