"you okay?" Soonyoung asked, nudging Y/n's shoulder as they walked. The past hour or two, Y/n had been abnormally quiet, her eyebrows furrowed in thought. She nodded, not bothering to look at him when she answered, her mind too preoccupied. Her thoughts were conflicted. She wanted to be mad at Seungcheol for trying to control her so much and for literally punching Soonyoung in the face. But was he trying to control her? maybe he was just trying to protect her. Maybe she was overreacting.
Guilt ate away at her as she chewed on her lip, she didn't want to be mad at her brother especially when their lives could be taken away at any moment. She would never forgive herself if something happened to Seungcheol while she was mad at him.
Y/n was an extremely stubborn person but she wasn't about to let her pride get in the way of reconciling with her brother, not before it was too late.
Her frown deepened when she started observing Seungcheol, noticing how dejected he looked. She made her way over to him, his gaze instantly falling on her when he felt her presence next to him. She noticed his shoulders stiffen a bit, probably worried she was going to yell at him or something.
"I'm...sorry" she mumbled, purposefully avoiding meeting his eyes.
"what?" he asked, unsure if he heard her right, his sister typically wasn't the type to apologise when an argument broke out between them. She exhaled,
"I said i'm sorry" she replied firmly, not wanting to repeat herself again.
"I overreacted, I know you're just trying to protect me and i know i've been difficult to deal with lately...BUT you should still apologise for punching Soonyoung, that was a bit dramatic" she huffed, trying to change the subject, she didn't want her brother seeing her so vulnerable and contrite.Seungcheol smiled knowingly, relieved that she didn't hate him. Even though the apology seemed half assed, it was the best he was going to get from her, and it warmed his heart knowing she felt the need to apologise to him, rather than expecting one.
He suddenly pulled her into a side hug, wrapping one arm around her shoulders while he ruffled her hair with the knuckles of his other hand.
"awe tough little Y/n does have feelings after all" he teased. She groaned in annoyance and pushed him off of her, a small smile ghosting her lips. They always used humour to get over their fights, expressing and dwelling on their feelings wasn't exactly a big thing within the Choi family, but they didn't mind. The rest of the supply group was relieved to see the two siblings make up, the uncomfortable tension that was previously in the air now completely gone. This in turn made the rest of their trip go smoothly. They made it back to the cabin with high spirits and full backpacks.
Confusion quickly etched its way onto their faces when they walked through the cabin door. The others were rushing around packing their bags, filling them with as much as they could.
"uh what's going on?" Vernon questioned, watching his friends frantically dart around the room.Chan ran up to Vernon with a large smile on his face, his eyes twinkling. He held onto Vernon's shoulders, trying his best to contain his excitement.
"We're going to be saved!" he exclaimed. Vernon froze, his eyes widening,
"what?".********
The supply group were now sat on the couch, huddled closely together while Junhui stood in front of them and explained what happened while they were gone.
"and then they said they could organise a boat to pick us up from Busan to take us to Fukuoka" Junhui continued, already talking for at least 30 minutes now. The group in front of him were silent and trying their best to understand the situation.
"wait wait wait...who even are these people? how do you know we can trust them?" Jihoon interjected.
"well we don't...but this could be our only chance to get help and live a normal life again" Jeonghan said, trying to reason with the smaller male."Busan? that's so far away, we're pretty much still in Seoul. When are they planning on sending a boat? if they send one" Mingyu asked, not sure how they would be able to make it to Busan when none of them knew the way there by vehicle, let alone by foot. Junhui made a face that implied they wouldn't like what he was about to say,
"one week" he muttered.
"one week?!" Seokmin shrieked,
"how are we supposed to make it to Busan in one week on foot?!".
