Seokmin and Y/n reached the rest of the group, Vernon instantly pulling her close to him.
"Open the damn door!" Mingyu yelled as he watched the zombies get closer to them.
"You don't think i'm trying?" Soonyoung replied annoyed as he tried to pry the doors open with his hands. Vernon stood facing the zombies with his baseball bat raised, ready to attack them if he needed to. Seokmin stood next to him with a metal crowbar, his hands shaking. Y/n stared quietly at the door for a few seconds before snatching the crowbar out of Seokmins hands. Before he could protest she held it up and smashed the sensor above the door causing the doors to slide open.

"Holy shit.." Mingyu said surprised as he watched the younger girl run through the door. The rest of the group quickly ran out of the mall, Soonyoung and Jihoon forced the doors shut behind them and stuck a metal pipe in between the handles of the door. As they let go of the door, the zombies ran up to it, banging on it and pushing it.
"that was close..." Seokmin huffed, finally able to catch his breath.
"yeah..we need to get out of here, let's go" Soonyoung said as he jogged away from the building, the rest of the group following him.

After a while the group made it back to their base. They opened the door to the warehouse and threw their bags on a table in the centre of the room.
"How'd you guys go? you're back late this time" Minghao said as he approached the group. Soonyoung and Mingyu brought back some packaged food and water, Jihoon and Vernon brought back meds and first aid stuff, and Seokmin and Y/n brought back....nothing. The rest of the group stared at Seokmin blankly.
"So you almost got us all killed and you didn't bring back anything?" Jihoon asked annoyed. Seokmin threw his hands up in defence,
"hey none of us died though so I'd say it was a success" he laughed anxiously causing the others to roll their eyes.

Y/n spotted Chan and Seungkwan with Junhui, they were standing around a desk that had two monitors on it and pc attached to them. She walked over to them and overheard Junhui explaining how to use the system to Chan. Seungkwan was the first to notice Y/n and instantly engulfed her in a tight hug.
"you're back! we were worried about you" he said, his voice muffled. Chan turned around and smiled brightly at her.
"I'm glad you're okay, Seungkwan wouldn't stop whining about how much he missed you" he said causing Seungkwan to scoff.
"I was not! you were the one that was worried they weren't going to come back!" he argued.

Y/n's eyes wandered over to Junhui and the computers in front of him.
"oh yeah Junhui was teaching me how to use the computers and was teaching me what to do" Chan said, Y/n nodded,
"what have you been doing all day?" she asked Seungkwan.
"I was helping Minghao set up and organise all of the first aid equipment" he said proudly.
"We brought back some more meds and stuff if you wanted to go have a look and help Minghao sort it out" Y/n said, Seungkwan nodded and walked over to where Minghao was sorting through the bags Jihoon and Vernon had brought back.

Across the room, Vernon was talking to Jihoon and Minghao. Minghao was sorting through the bag and pulled out a few pill bottles,
"opioids?" he asked, his eyebrows raised as he looked up at Vernon and Jihoon.
"I thought it wouldn't hurt to take them" Vernon shrugged.
"i mean if someone was dying they would help or we could just use them to get high" Jihoon spoke up causing Minghao to glare at him.
"Very funny" he said as he emptied the rest of the bag onto the table.
"I wasn't joking" the shorter male mumbled as he walked away causing Vernon to stifle a laugh.

"Jihoon doesn't seem to hate you" Minghao said, his eyes looking up at Vernon for a second before focusing on what he was doing.
"you're obviously not that bad if Jihoon likes you, considering he hates everyone" he added. Vernon gave him an confused look,
"it's a compliment don't worry, we're glad to have you guys with us" he smiled before taking the meds over to the first aid station where Seungkwan was waiting for him.
