"Isn't it weird that we haven't seen any other survivors in a while?" Minghao thought aloud as he leant against a tree. The group were taking a short break from travelling, most of them complaining that they were tired and their feet hurt from walking.
"I mean, I'm sure we're not the only ones still alive" he added. A few of the others hummed in agreement.  They all thought back to the last time they saw another living human being and shivered, not exactly liking the thought of encountering anyone else, or at least anyone else like that.

Y/n never wanted to be reminded of that day, but she was. Constantly. She was always reminded when she would forget that Wonwoo wasn't with them anymore. She was reminded when she would panic slightly because she only counted eleven boys, then the harsh reality would come crashing back down when she remembered why there were only eleven.

Most nights when she closed her eyes, she saw Wonwoo's body being pulled down into a crowd of zombies, each of them clawing at him as he tried to protect his friends.

Other nights she could feel the hands of the man in the hospital on her body, images of his lifeless body hitting the floor, blood pouring from his head as she shot him dead, filling her mind.

Y/n felt a warm hand envelop her own, squeezing gently and rubbing comforting circles on the top of her hand. She looked next to her to see Soonyoung giving her a concerned look as if he could read her mind and knew what she was thinking. She tried to give him a reassuring smile but her eyes always conveyed the truth. They were dull and absent of the sparkle and light they once had in them.

His thumb grazed softly over the top of her hand in comforting circles, his gaze deep as he stared into her eyes as if searching for something.
"It was never your fault, I know you're still blaming yourself" he sighed. It seemed like no matter what he said, he could never get through to her.
"Soonyoung you don't understa-" she began but was swiftly cut off by a screech in the distance. Their heads snapped up in the direction that the high pitched scream came from.

Y/n's free hand instinctively clutched her gun. Soonyoung stood in front of her protectively while they searched for where the sound came from. The rest of the group were just as on guard. Another scream came from the distance. It sounded like a young girl screaming and crying as if her life depended on it.

Y/n pushed her way from behind Soonyoung and began trying to follow the sound.
"Y/n wait!" Seungcheol called as he jogged after his sister. She cut through the tree line and found a small street with houses lined up along it. There was one house that had at least 30 zombies out of the front of it and more inside. More of them were being attracted as the screaming, which seemed to be coming from inside the house, continued. Y/n took her gun in her hand, ensuring the silencer was still attached to it, and began shooting at the zombies outside of the house. She made multiple clean headshots, watching as bodies dropped to the ground one by one.

Seungcheol, Soonyoung, Jihoon and Vernon were quick to help kill off the rest of them, making sure to keep their distance as much as possible. They definitely didn't want to get caught up in the middle of that many zombies.
"What are you doing?!" Vernon shouted, not knowing why Y/n decided to run head first into danger.
"It sounds like someone's in there, we need to help them!" she shouted back, stabbing a zombie through the head as it ran at her. Vernon rolled his eyes, Y/n was never one to ignore something that bothered her, to let things go or to put herself first.

Y/n ran into the house when she thought it was safe enough to. She searched the house until she found a locked door with one or two zombies desperately trying to claw their way inside. She shot one through the head and stabbed the other. She knocked on the door but no one answered so she lodged her blade into the side of the door and jiggled it around near the handle until she was able to force it open.

She pushed the door open and looked around, instantly noticing a young girl who looked to be around ten years old huddled in the corner of the room, her eyes wide and full of tears. Y/n's eyes softened at the sight of the girl and carefully started to approach her. After taking a few steps she was harshly shoved against the wall. She groaned as the wind got knocked out of her and winced at the feeling of a cold blade held closely to her throat.
