🧪Sixty three🦠

Mingyu had been stitched back up and was now resting. Y/n was currently being treated by Minghao for the bite on her shoulder. She felt everyone's eyes on her, she couldn't blame them, she did just get bit and almost tried to shoot herself.

Junhui had since calmed down a little as he found a quicker route to Busan, cutting off a few hours, allowing them time to rest now.

"what if she turns?" Jihoon said, loud enough for everyone to hear. No one spoke.

"she would have shown symptoms by now, and if it's true that she's been bit before, then she won't turn because she's immune somehow" Minghao said as he finished applying a bandage to the bite. He looked at her with an expecting look on his face. Y/n sighed and rolled her sleeve up, showing him the scar on her arm.

"why didn't you say anything?" Soonyoung asked, his voice gentle. He was sitting next to her and had a comforting hand placed on her knee as she sat cross legged in front of Minghao. He took her arm into her hands and softly ran his fingertips over the scar.
"i was scared, i didn't even notice the bite until a few days after it happened, i was distracted with what happened to my leg and by the time i noticed i knew i wasn't going to turn, i was confused and i didn't know what would have happened if i told anyone so i stayed quiet...i'm sorry, i'm so sorry" she apologised, taking Soonyoung's hand into her own.
"I should have said something, i'm sorry" she repeated, not being able to rid herself of the guilt she felt. She bit down on her lip to try and stop herself from crying again. All she did was cry and it was embarrassing. It made her look weak.

The group finally started on their way to Busan again, not needing to rush as much anymore because of the new shortcut that Junhui found. The shortcut that was through the forest, where they could easily get lost.

Y/n felt like she was being surveyed at all times, the boys acting as if she could break at any moment and try to kill herself again. Seungkwan and Chan would give her sympathetic looks and Soonyoung and Seungcheol wouldn't leave her side, Vernon occasionally checking in as well. It warmed her heart that they all cared so much but it was starting to get annoying and overwhelming. They had already taken both of her weapons, her blade and her gun, not trusting her with them anymore. Which was another reason everyone stayed close to her. She wouldn't be able to protect herself if something happened, not that it mattered if she got bit or scratched anyway.

Her eye started to twitch the more they would stare at her. Yes it was her fault they were treating her that way but it was still irritating regardless.
"can you all stop staring at me?! i'm not going to try and kill myself again okay?!" she exclaimed. She huffed loudly and walked past everyone and up to Junhui. He just stopped and stared at her, surprised by her sudden outburst.
"what? why are you stopping? vamos!" she said, walking ahead of him. He quickly scrambled after her with the map, not wanting her to walk off on her own and get lost.

"fuck me she's a handful" Seungcheol groaned, his sisters recent behaviour causing him to grow grey hairs at an early age.
"at least she's starting to act like herself again" Chan shrugged.

"It's hard to believe we might actually be leaving this shit hole..." Vernon said. Seungkwan hummed next to him.
"how are we going to live a normal life after this?" Seungkwan replied, he was looking down and fidgeting with his fingers.
"I don't know...but we'll have each other, it will be hard having to start all over again but we'll get through it one step at a time" Vernon reassured the other male, placing a comforting hand on his back, rubbing soothing circles.

After a few more hours of walking, the group had finally made it to Busan. It was starting to get dark and they needed somewhere to sleep for the night. They were running early for time and still had a little over a day until they needed to be at the dock for the rescue boat.

There was a small house tucked away behind some trees in the distance. It looked a bit worse for wear but it seemed safe enough to sleep the night in. They settled down inside, the house being quite small so it was a snug fit for all of them. After everyone was situated, Soonyoung noticed Y/n was nowhere to be seen. He panicked a little until he walked outside and saw her sitting on the grass. She had her legs stretched out and was tearing apart a few strands of grass in her hands as she watched the sunset above her. She looked peaceful.

He sat down next her to, she smiled to herself and kept her eyes fixed on the red and pink hues in the sky.
"it's pretty" she sighed, her voice sounding content. Soonyoung looked over at her,
"yeah you are" he replied. Y/n scoffed and finally looked at him with a playful smile on her face,
"that's so cliche and corny" she laughed as she hit his shoulder. Soonyoung just smiled lovingly back at her,
"it's true though" he said.

"You know, this reminds me of that night we were sitting on the roof of the warehouse, we barely knew each other but i knew you were special, you were staring up at the sky like you are now and you looked so beautiful.." he paused, hesitating for a second,
"that's when i started to love you" he finished. Y/n's eyes widened and she looked over at him, sitting up properly as she turned her body towards him.
"you what?" she asked surprised. Soonyoung chuckled at her reaction and looked at the sky, a warm smile on his lips.
"I love you" he confessed. He then felt Y/n's hands gently cup his face, turning his face towards her. She brought his lips against hers in a soft kiss. She pulled away and touched her forehead to his,
"I love you too."

The next chapter is going to be the last official chapter and i'm so sad😭😭 i will write an epilogue after that chapter though and both chapters will probably be very long so please look forward to it!!!!!
