Jimin didn't know if he was even breathing, had something snapped inside of him? He pressed his fingers to his chest, then dragged them upward until they found his pulse point against his throat. He had a heartbeat, but he didn't feel anything. He wasn't even crying, he was in shock, was he dying?

"We had an entire relationship?" It felt like a dumb question, he flinched saying it out loud, each word flatter than the last, no inflection at all.

The problem was he couldn't remember a single instant of it, couldn't drag back her voice, his name on her lips, couldn't imagine a time when she might have told him that she loved him. He could only picture her face, her perfect smile, her kind eyes. Jimin could only wrap himself around the way he was drawn to her, how he'd been captivated by her each time she'd been in the same room with him. Could only remember how she'd made him feel, not the moments they'd spent together. There must have been a lot of them right? Him and his Angel?

"Of course Jiminie, you were happy for months before Irene ruined everything, and even after that you were finding your way back to each other." Hobi was crying, how could he cry but Jimin couldn't summon a single tear?

"But she was living with you?" Maybe this was too much information, he was getting confused, he felt faint, his body tipping forward.

Before he could fall Sujin steadied him from her place on the floor in front of him, Hobi's strong arms securing him from the side. Jimin really thought he was going to throw up, only the knowledge that he'd not eaten anything kept his stomach at bay.

"We were worried Irene was going to hurt her again, my apartment was safer than where she was staying with her friend Aiyun." Hobi was patient, explaining logistics that meant absolutely nothing to Jimin.

Who was Aiyun, why was Y/N living with a friend? The last time he remembered her she lived with her parents and was moving into an apartment at the University of Seoul. That would have been years ago he corrected himself, she'd already finished her first three years back then. Of course over three years later she wouldn't be living at school, she'd have been done for a while.

"Are you saying she succeeded? Even though we tried to protect her Irene still won?" Jimin remembered her maniacal laughter at the prison, the way she was beyond pleased with her performance. Did it have everything to do with that fact that she'd killed her target without even being free?

"No." Sujin sighed and sat back on her legs, Jimin watched her quietly, more confused than ever.

"We don't know the whole story or all the details but I can tell you what we know for sure. After you got hurt Y/N was hell bent on finding out who had done it, and getting information from Irene and Taemin. She even went to see him hoping he'd give up the person on the outside that might have been helping them. We had some suspects but nothing concrete. Taemin wouldn't give up the information unless Eunwoo came to see him." Sujin's voice was getting tight, her eyes watery with tears and Hobi brushed her cheek before taking over where she left off.

"Y/N had been running all over the city, but she ended up at Eunwoo's. We guessed she was going there to convince her to go see Taemin, none of us believed she actually would. Kookie was even headed out to meet up with her in case she thought about going back to the prison, Taemin had been rough with her the last time and none of us thought she should go back alone. Joonie got a call from Y/N while she was there, but it was weird, she was saying things that didn't make sense, talking about meeting someone at your apartment when we all knew she'd already met with them. It made us nervous and Yoongi called Kookie to tell him to hurry, I don't know why, we all just felt like she was trying to tell us something." Hobi swallowed hard, speaking of the maknae was painful to them all, but this seemed more intense to Jimin.
