Jimin knocked on the door, Joon anxious at his side, his fists clenched as if Jimin might have deceived him about what was behind the apartment walls. He didn't really think his leader thought he was lying and he understood the twisting turmoil of feeling helpless to his emotions. The moody maid opened the door hitting him with a confused look.

"The Y/L/N's are still gone. I don't expect them home for hours, they might even stay overnight." She frowned glancing at Joon, to her he was an outsider and not an approved visitor. No matter how famous or recognizable he was around the world.

"I left something, please it's very important we come in." Jimin smiled, turned on his charm, pretending to be perfectly normal.

He could see her waning in her resolve but then she started shutting the door, deciding her job wasn't worth the risk. Maybe it was more than her job at stake, maybe the NIS had threatened them with charges if they didn't adhere to the rules. Jimin could understand her hesitation but he couldn't let her shut the door.

"Please, I promise I'll take all the blame if anything happens. But nothing will happen, he's trustworthy and he already knows." Jimin whispered it leaning forward but she was shaking her head raising one hand in refusal while the other was moving the door.

Joon wasn't as subtle, be forced his body sideways through the gap left in door. It didn't take much for him to twist his shoulders and force it open. It was clear he had no patience for this person keeping him from Kookie. Jimin figured Joon might smash through the door if necessary without blinking.

"I'm sorry noona but you're not stopping me from seeing him, even if you think it's the right thing. Feel free to call the cops." And then he picked her up and set her out of the way entering the foyer.

Jimin shook his head, not even a little surprised. Joon's temper had been threatening to boil over for hours. It had been almost three since he'd dropped the news of Kook and Y/N, probably two and a half more than his leader was capable of restraining himself under the circumstances. The maid looked shocked and then all at once resigned shrugging and shutting the door behind the two of them. She looked like she might say something but at the last minute just flipped the lock. Jimin slipped in front of Joon and headed for her bedroom leading the way.

The door was shut and he knocked but only waited a second before opening it. Y/N was sitting on the bed holding a book, Kook was watching TV from the floor next to her. They both looked up and Jimin stepped out of the way, inherently sensing Joon was about to plow him out of the way if he didn't move. The sound Kook made was almost heartbreaking, a mix of a shout and sob, the speed with which he was on his feet impressive.

Joon and Kook collided, the sound was a tangible thing in the space, would have been heard except for the loud car chase on the TV. Kook disappeared into Joon's arms, his body, his presence, folded away so seamlessly it was like they'd never been separated. It was hard to watch without Jimin's chest throbbing with feeling. The longing and emotion coming from both of them creating a crackle of static, energy that crawled across his body.

"You're so fucking stupid." Joon's words were coming out in gasping cries, Kook's sounds smaller, softer against his hyung's chest. "You thought you could leave me? Do you think I'd let you go?" He shook him, Kook's body a rag doll without resistance.

Jimin was silent watching Joon drag his fingers through Kook's hair and wrench his head backward. The motion was violent but the execution was gentle, tender. He looked down at him and kissed his forehead before pulling him back in. It was almost too intimate a moment to watch. Jimin turned away and realized she was standing behind him. Close enough to touch but not yet meeting his body.

"Let's give them a minute." She tugged him from the room, Jimin went willingly his body vibrating with the contact of even just their fingers.

"Our reunion should have been that beautiful." He laughed as they settled into the floor in the hallway, she sat on his lap and he welcomed her warmth and weight against his thighs.
