"Joon calm down, let's at least discuss what to do about tonight, it's why we're here. Figuring out everything else is still important." Sujin grabbed his arm and tugged him down beside her.
He didn't fight her but his face said he wasn't going to change his mind. His jaw was tight and his fists balled even as she held tightly to his bicep. It was rare to see real temper from their leader, his was usually calm and easy going, and he rarely ever showed any aggression around Sujin. The last few months had changed everyone, he just wanted things to go back to the way they were. But which before? Hadn't Irene been a constantly cause of turmoil in his life?
"Why should I calm down? What's so hard about just letting me see him?"
Joon wasn't entirely rational and it wasn't unexpected. Jimin could understand the anguish he'd felt, he'd felt similar not only for Kookie but for his Angel. It was a loss that couldn't be defined in words, and already he felt the pull of wanting to see her again. It was visceral, something that called from deep within him.
"Look, I'll take you to see him, just you," Jimin winced at his promise putting his hands up to stop everyone else from complaining, "but after we figure out everything. There's nothing anyone can do for Kook or Y/N right now."
He thought it was a terrible idea, why had he promised that? What if someone followed them? It was easy enough to explain his own singular trip there by saying he was offering condolences to her parents. But what would be his excuse for returning? With Namjoon in tow?
"Joon gets to see them but not the rest of us?" Tae was already protesting and Jin pinched him, making him yelp.
"What, you think it will be good for all of BTS to roll up on them? That it won't look suspicious and everything they sacrificed and we've dealt with won't be ruined?" Jin shook his head at Tae squashing the question, then frowned at Joon. "Unless you don't believe Jimin you should consider skipping this too."
"I can't." Joon said it quietly and Jimin just wanted to end that part of the conversation.
"Can we focus on Jji for a few minutes?" Hobi spoke up, Jimin guessed he probably felt as anxious about finding out the truth about her as much as Joon did about getting to Kookie.
"Bang Chan said there's a party tonight with Mitch and Carter on the guest list. We don't really have a way of knowing if they'll show but he asked around and they don't usually skip invites because they don't get many." Jin explained holding up his phone, some texts on the screen that Jimin guessed were from Chan.
"Only two of us can go, and we need to think carefully about who those two are, because the wrong choices could ruin the opportunity." Hobi looked stressed out and Jimin squeezed his hand.
"Bang Chan says this club caters to more serious sadomasochists so I think that eliminates me and Yoongi. Really Jimin too. Hobi and Joon are the only two probably hard enough in this group." Jin sighed and looked at Tae with a smirk. "And this one is too soft entirely, I think he's made of marshmallow."
"Kookie would love it." Tae whispered under his breath and for the first time the whole room didn't dissolve into tears or silence remembering he was gone. Jimin saw a few smiles, because it was true. The maknae would have been an easy choice.
"Joon going wouldn't make sense, everyone in the scene will know he lost Kookie and they'll question why he's out so soon after losing his sub. Hell, they're going to question that about all of you, but Joon will get the least sympathy." Sujin sighed and everyone was quiet for a different reason.
"Hobi could go and take Tae, who says they have to prove anything about what type of sub he is?" It felt like Yoongi was trying to make a point by the way he stared at Jimin.
