Jimin leaned through the doorway catching the security guard's eyes as he urged her forward into the empty apartment. He glanced at Y/N's wide eyes her body language stunned as she walked toward the open living space.
"Don't move from this spot, no matter what you hear. Remember not a word about who owns this apartment." Jimin whispered the words then sighed as the guy nodded, he couldn't risk him making some seemingly innocent comment that would freak her out.
Shutting the door he snuck up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist, his nose pressing against her hair. She smelled like shampoo and a subtle perfume. Jimin imagined her spritzing something on while she got ready for their date, what had she been thinking in those moments? He wanted her to move in here, then he could watch her get dressed as often as he wanted. He imagined her sitting in front of the mirror wrapped in a towel dabbing make up on her beautiful face. Jimin would make them late to every engagement, he wanted that more than anything.
"You said it was decent sized, enough for entertaining, this is a whole palace." Jimin grinned kissing the side of her soft neck, she was in awe and it tickled him.
Her hands clasped around his, warm and dry as she turned taking in the living room. It wasn't as large as she claimed, if she'd seen his place before the furniture had been moved in this apartment would look small. For second he could picture the Big Hit music video furniture in the rooms, all of his brothers, Sujin and Hanuel gathered in living room, Kookie still holding the vacuum.
"It's not even a third the size of mine and it's only one bedroom." Jimin released her body, letting his hand settled into the line of hers until he linked their fingers. He glanced down at them, he thought they fit together perfectly.
It was probably a little psychotic to move her into this abandoned apartment. It had sat empty, only a cleaning lady coming by monthly for over a year. Tae hadn't been interested in buying it after Jji died, and every time Jimin thought about selling it he pushed the thought to later.
He should just tell Y/N he owned the apartment, but that would lead to questions about who had lived in it previously. That would lead to more lies, because there was no chance in hell he'd tell her it had been lived in by his dead ex. He'd had to settle for a lie of omission, Jimin looking away as if she might mind read it from his head. He hated not being able to just bare all his soul to her. He thought she'd understand, but what if she didn't?
He followed her down the short hallway and she opened the first door, what she saw was an empty space, white walls, tall window looking into the center of the building. The columns of the building soaring upward, not even a strip of blue sky.
What Jimin saw was a dungeon, Tae and Jjille kneeling on the floor patiently waiting for him. Their body language absolutely submissive as they perched on the blue floor pillows. How many times had he opened this door to exactly that?
"This bedroom is bigger than the one I have now." Jimin flinched from the memory glad she was standing in front of him and wasn't able to read the emotion on his face.
"This is the office." He pulled her from the room making her eyes go wide and after a second nudged her into the master bedroom. "This is the bedroom."
"I'll never afford this, it's insane!" Jimin should have let her off the hook, she was right, it wasn't affordable, not this building in this part of downtown Seoul.
Besides he owned it, was he going to charge her to live here? How would that work exactly? He'd been too impulsive and not thought this through. If he told her he owned it she'd insist on paying. He should just tell her.
Y/N went into the bathroom and he followed her, walking up behind her again to hold her body to the front of his own. Their eyes met in the mirror, much like they had that first evening at Taemin's engagement party. Only this time he knew he was in love with her and he needed her close. She had to move into this apartment because he hated the hoops he had to jump through just to see her.
