"Woah, look at that girl over there!"

"She's amazing.."

"It looks like she's flying."

"Ouch, that would've hurt."

"Oh, wow!"

Voices filled the dojo as I continued my practice with the wooden boards. Everyone seemed so amazed that a ten year old like me could be at this level. I mean I had been coming to the dojo since who knows how long, so I had gotten time to practice. Mr. Sano, who owns this dojo is really cool. Apparently he has grandkids, too. I've never met any of them, but I'd like to.

I kicked the last wooden board that Mr. Sano was holding above his head and bowed. "Great job, Y/N! I think that was your best record so far," he grumbled. I smiled, "Thank you," and headed towards my stuff to get water. Before I reached there, a figure stood in my way.

"You were that girl practicing over there, weren't you?"

I looked up to see a blonde boy, with dark eyes. "Yeah." "Fight me." Okay, we'll that wasn't what I was expecting. "Everyone says your really good, but you're never here when it's our turn to practice. Glad we got you today," smirked another boy with black hair and a fang. He shrugged, crossing his arms, "Either way, you can't beat Mikey. He's invincible."

"Mhm, sure," I nodded sarcastically. The Mikey kid scoffed.

"Then let's duel." He offered. "Gosh, you make it sound so dramatic. Fine," I sighed, walking around him, grabbing my water.

A few minutes later we were standing across from each other, in stance. "3..2..1..GO!" I circled to the left, but when I noticed Mikey's stance move to defend his left, I twisted myself around, and kicked with my right foot. Mikey, not given enough time to react, stepped back a bit from the impact.

He stood there looking taken aback and I took that as my chance to land another kick, but this time he happened to grab my foot. I almost landed headfirst, but before that I used my other foot and swept it across his, causing us both to fall. A win is a win, I mean. He grumbled, getting up. This time, he went for offense with a spin-kick, which I barely avoided. This kid is crazy good. I didn't see the arm flying towards my face though and it made impact. Crap.

Get yourself together, Y/N. I regained my stance, again. Since he's so good, I don't have to go easy, so I started using the fighting style I usually do.

"Woah, oh my gosh, is she flying?"

That was the thing about my fighting style. It was filled with kicks and punches, but they were all mostly done in the air. The kicks helped with using the other person to stay in the air. Normally when fighting, my feet would touch the ground only once or twice.

By the time Mikey seemed to have caught up with the speed, I had landed four kicks.

Before I could land my fifth, I felt fingers wrapped around my ankle, unexpectedly, and I tumbled to the ground. "Ow, that hurt," I muttered, sitting up. My head was spinning.

"HA, I won!" He exclaimed. I glared at him, before he realized and immediately straightened up, clearing his throat. "Sorry, I mean, good game," he held out a hand to me. I took it, and he pulled me up. "You're actually really good. I haven't met anyone yet who could keep up with me for that long. You're really cool."

"Thanks, you're really cool too," I replied.

"You should practice with me and my friends more. I wanna learn your fighting style." I smiled, "you like my fighting style?"

"Yeah, it makes you look like a dragonfly."
