Class Introduction

(Nobody's Pov)

"Welcome to my class. I don't take kindly to any sass or failure. You must be perfect and successful. If you give up you will not receive a credit for my class and that will lower your chance of becoming an elite hero and being recruited by an elite hero. You'll want an elite hero to take you under their wing. This will pave the way for you wannabe heroes." Duke Washington spoke, pacing in front of his class.

"I'll now explain the seating chart." He began.

"The first three desks will consist of Madelyn Lovington, Alcameano, and Philip Flameburghs. The next row will be Emily Penn, Liliana Carnation, and MacKenzie Katrin. Next Alice Ross, Mary Newman, and Dakota Neverly. Lastly, Raven Violets and May Callings." Duke spoke, making sure everyone was in the correct desk.

"Thank you for being coordinated. Last years students were a disaster." Duke spoke, sighing at the thought of his previous incompetent students.

"Today you'll be learning how to control your powers. Now think to yourself. How do you use your power? What makes it activate? I'll call on each one of you." He asked, looking at Madelyn first.

"How do you do it, Madelyn?" He asked.

"I close my eyes and focus really hard and my wings sprout out of my back. I have to close my eyes and focus my energy." Maddie spoke. Duke nodded and moved on to the next student.

"Alcameano?"

"I stare and just do. Energy is all around us and all I need is to do it." Alcameano said, very simply.

"Philip?"

"My body stays this way as long as I'm in a state of constant focus." Philip spoke. He never lets his powers down. He is on guard at all times.

"Emily?"

"I close my eyes and imagine exactly what type of shadow I want to form then it happens." Emily said.

"Liliana?"

"I use my energy to spit out acid with ease. I don't have to do anything special. I'm a natural." Liliana said, smugly. Duke rolled his eyes at her smugness and moved on.

"Mackenzie?"

"I visualize my scythe appearing in my hand and it does. I've never had a problem with it appearing or disappearing." Mackenzie answered, honestly.

The rest of the students all added that they just focus. Duke knew that they would need more than that. Powers can be complicated and different for everyone.

"I want you to go beyond just focusing. Your body is made to just do. In this class you'll get to the point where your power activates when it needs too. Your body will become your ultimate weapon against any enemy." Duke spoke, causing the students to nod and think of their future.

'I can't wait to become strong!' Maddie thought, excitedly.

'I'll control myself.. I will..' Philip thought, hopefully.

'This is going to be easy.' Liliana thought confidently.

'That'll be so amazing!' Alice thought, in awe.

'Easy enough.' Al thought, calmly.

"Welcome to medical training! I'm Lucinda Eveegreen! Call me Miss Evergreen!" Lucinda smiled widely at her students.
