A Father's Love

(Nobody's Pov!)

Mackenzie stared up at her father as she finally spotted the large gang of villains behind him. She narrowed her eyes and thought for a moment. Maybe she could convince him to join them and stop The Phoenix with their combined power.

"Mackenzie, Come with us." The Masked Destroyer spoke, staring down at her, his piercing blue eyes full of pain and sorrow. He wanted so desperately for her to come with him. She could live a life away from all this. He knew that The Phoenix would kill her. That bastard would take everything from him. He couldn't let that happen.

"I can't leave everyone here! Dad, you can join us and stop that asshole before he kills more people." Mackenzie yelled up at him. She wanted him to stay. There was a chance that they could survive. She could finally get the revenge her mother deserved.

"You have no need to put your life at risk. You'll leave with the rest of my team. I'll deal with The Phoenix myself." The Masked Destroyer yelled, clenching his fists.

"I'm not leaving! He needs to die for what he did! I won't let it be anyone else's responsibility! We can do this together as a family!" Mackenzie yelled, causing her father to sigh and shake his head.

"You'll leave or else I'll kill everyone here and force you out." He spoke, his eyes narrowing as he watched Mackenzie's face change.

"You're not the same." She growled, clenching her fists as her father raised his arms. "If you won't come with me I'll do what I have too. Everything I've ever done has been for you." He spoke, launching his arms down at an intense speed sending a giant wave of lava towards the school.

Raven gasped and quickly raised the forcefield, protecting everyone from the deadly wave. Philip narrowed his eyes as he watched more and more lava come launching down into the forcefield.

"Gah!" Raven grunted, as she attempted to hold back the barrage of lava. "Raven!" May gasped, running over to her friend. Raven strained as she tried focusing on keeping everyone safe.

"If this forcefield breaks we all die in a burning pit of lava!" Raven yelled, trying to motivate herself. May stared at her friend with determination as she gently put a hand on Raven's shoulder.

"You can do this! I believe in you with my entire soul!" May said, raising her fists up into the air. Raven smiled slightly as she nodded. "I don't know what I'd do without you." Raven said, focusing on keeping the school safe.

"He's not going to stop." Mackenzie growled, looking over at Maddie who finished giving the heroes bows.

"That's fine. We'll just have to fight back. That was the plan from the beginning." Philip said, looking over at Mackenzie with worried eyes. He tried to hide his feelings, but he was struggling. She broke down his walls and he hated that. He wanted her love more than anything, but the thought of letting another person in terrified him. Especially a person who was already planning on throwing their life away.

"Then so be it." Mackenzie said, grabbing her scythe from Maddie. As everyone prepared for battle the lava suddenly stopped. A loud booming voice echoed throughout the city gaining everyone's attention.

"Son! It's time for you to come home." The voice echoed, causing Philip to freeze. The Phoenix arrived earlier than expected. The masked destroyer hated to put his people at risk like this, but he knew he had to protect Mackenzie.

"Keep it up, Raven!" May cheered, as the lava began again. Soon fire began blasting at the opposite side of the forcefield. All of the villains banded together and began blasting the forcefield.
